I’ve put together a new metric for rating vapor quality and potency.
Previously my vapor graphs focused on a generic ‘hit strength’ that combined flavor, volume, and potency - but I found that the numbers were too ambiguous when comparing.
This new scoring system is called PFVS. It scores each hit on 4 characteristics.
Punch
Flavor
Volume
Smoothness
I’ve found that scoring a vapor hit in each of these categories adequately and accurately describes differences in the vapor.
This is very neat. It reminds me of Mei Leaf’s tea wheels. They use eight points instead of four, but it’s a good way to compare teas. I look forward to your further development of the system.
You could have sub threads or more simply a new category where community members could use this scale to gauge each individuals subjective interpretation of a particular setup or method, device specific. Like a Frolic vapor thread where we share our personal scores and on down the DHV line. Everyone has a different style or taste to their experience so nothing too scientific since strain type would play a heavy roll on that performance as well. It could be very useful tool to some who may open up about using a favorite device differently. It would be a blast to see fellow users gauged experiences with a particular vape and temp range. It might help expand new horizons within the shared experiences in the community.
This is great…nice job, buddy! Hopefully we can use this to refine and clarify how we speak about vapor.
Because this is subjective, it would be cool to have a sizable sample of rankings for the same vapes, but from different vaporists, so we could create an aggregate diagram, as well. That could help remove any individual bias.
