This just in... an exciting new advancement...:

How to know when you have that temperature in the : Starting to get wispy goodness and beyond
1st: Have a capable flame or heat source
2nd: Because nobody like to be shocked... Be generous with your heat soak.
3rd: Be aware, look for color changes where the flame meets the metal, and do be afraid to rotate and get an even coverage.
4th: The bowl can be removed with a twist to release the magnets on the cap. You can do this to remove heat if you've gone too far. The good bake on the oven provides an good amout of heat soak throughout the devices operation area. I enjoy testing the flavors as the device begins the vapor unlocking, and the release of the goodness. Using test "Puffs" at this heat up is a great way to unlock your herbs easter eggs of flavors. Enjoy those early terps and you'll never cook a bowl too long!

What do you need?

* A BAKm (this is important)
* A BAKx cap (this holds your pipe/adapter and save burning fingers) (I tried using Telekinesis but it would stay)
* A BAKx stem, adapter, or WPA
* A fiery object... Torches work the best :)

A special side note : These are lovingly crafted by a real person! Please respect and care when ordering and remember the hug that greats you when you get it right... That said! Luv your cr8tions and the folks that care enough to share cre8tion and Love.

I'll bet by now... You just wanna know where to get one of these lovely works of art for your very own...

May (See what I did there), the force be with you!

How do you know when it’s hot enough? Is trial and error the only way? When heating glass, the sodium flare is a good indicator, but I guess that doesn’t work with FMJ?

A wonderful quest ion! The answer is it, “sizzles”… not really but as you become better aquainted the is a sound that is noticable when the optimum conditions occur. In this game there is no early penalties. If you go beyond… it’s only because you didn’t know the beauty of early hit (low temp) first order terps… Don’t (push) your herbs to combustion. Use the force ;and sample the early menu… It’s all a part of the same ride… sometimes the beginning of a journey is as enjoyable as the destination.

I have been using the Bakm since last fall when Ralph put it out. I really do love it too. I have the 18mm Quartz cap and the Megacycle from TRWW as well as the tasty tube by glass charlie. I think the Bakm is a little more forgiving in terms of heating time than those similar vapes. It is sort of still in development though, the brass sleeve will slide down when it is overheated. I just use a little screwdriver to put it spread it a bit to slide it back up but it is a bit annoying. I do love the form factor though and as a vape that works great with hash it is alot more affordable than the Bakx.

Thank you for your question. I am not scared to learn. I asked and was granted an answer from the cre8tor. Apparently if the force is strong enough… the brass changes to a slightly different color. The sizzle is also a popular listening technique. I like my “Puff” often approach…MAgical terps appear randomly… I’ve been greeted by yummy notes just testing to make sure the draw isn’t too restrictive… Pinching your herbs often has a terpene or two expressed in the process. This is great news when you get that nice little treat. Hopefully between the reply and the edit you inspired… I hope I’ve answered your inquiry and unlocked a bit of magic for you to discover.

Ya l LOVE that sizzle. I always picture the oils boiling and steaming off when I hear it. The Sizzle is a perfect description. Well done :victory_hand:t5:

You rock!!! I was reading your reply and I broke out my Terpcicles… The closest comparison to the TRWW Terpcicle was the Mini… at least in my collection… Such a great device as well. On my mini he put a 14mm joint… Loved this as my alt(to combustion) bowls… The upside to the mini was the pinch tube didn’t require a screen with a course grind. The drawback for me is the terpcicle is a bit more difficult for loads/unloads… No finger safety as it is… It eats flame like it’s hungry..(Buy extra Butane) ,but the end result was very rewarding… Your post brought back a lot of different comparisons ; and now that I have a test rig ;and a set up I like… I tried a bunch and ;then I fell in love with this BAKm… My sleeve doesn’t slip. I’m not sure if they have the stock in the ships from USA… Did you ask them about a replacement? Just running this setup… 18mm pinch stem… I got lazy and didn’t want to pinch load out of a fresh jar. I went with a dunk load of some coarse (Brilliant Cut) grind. This “Woody” beast offered me a lot of things I was missing… Easy bowl access and heat removal! Forgiving heat soak… (I got dark ABV… No combustion… and I took her to the razors edge of poof… She forgave me nicely). The heat soak is really … unique… It’s a hybrid heat, but with the glass it’s a softer heat than metal offers. I don’t have it all dialed in, but I’m liking this a whole bunch, and for a torch driven bowl!!! The heat soak is fairly quick with a good flame. I can hang with my combustion friends now and not look like a complete geek. I’m glad I walked down this road, and thank you for broadening my perspective. As a result… I have a new (torch) favorite in my reach!I I know that I have spent much more; with no where near these results… This is a cool ride and I’m glad I bought the ticket!:admission_tickets:

I did get a replacement already from Ralph. The sleeve was more adjusted but it slipped on me as well, like I said I just move it back up with a small screwdriver so its not too big a deal. He told me he is working on another version that won’t slip but I expect his is pretty busy trying to keep up with the Bakx demand. The flavor profile on the Bakm is great but not quite as nice as the Bakx but it doesn’t give me the same terp bite either which I prefer sometimes. I’m always whole nugging it wth the Bak devices, I might give ground a try at some point but the flavor is just so awesome like that.

I put my very terpy herbs on a nice getle water perc. I was running a bunch of my previous reach mates this morning… The M seems to me that it does the best at the tail end of the notes… I get a better finish flavor at the end… In contrast when I run the M with the dry herb stem… I don’t get those throat ripper terps in the front end. I did lose most of the bite and early terps on the water though. The thing that I find the most groovy is the options… I’m looking forward to some Hammok time with my beakers again  . I can’t remember taking a beaker outside in a long while. This and the BAKx make me want to put my feet on soft grasses and kick back. I have noticed a rather enjoyable headyness to the experience ;that ; I feel might be related to dual (hybrid) heating… I’m getting the sedation I have grown to appreciate from Stainless… I think it’s in part to that lovely ability to hold a softer heat. I have pulled all my bowls with a very even heat. 1,2, and even 3 draws in… the heat holds with minimum care. I think I was more surprised ,and comforted by ; the loss of the more agressive front notes. I have noticed that running a longer air path and a gentle agitation thru water seems to fix more agressive throat rippers… and this does it ; even with the dry herb stem. This path is a great stroll ;and , it has improved greatly by your experiences!Thank you for making my morning :green_heart:

A complete setup for the Bakm would include the Bakm, a dry stem or a wpa from larmart and a cap. And a torch of course.

Hoping that the answer found ya. The dry stem is a native stem for direct use. The WPA is available as a 14mm or 18mm, if you would like a specific color you should put it in the comments. screens are needed if you prefer a non dimpled stem. Pinch loads from the flower work best, and for this reason, I prefer a pinch tube over a screen. I mention this because you will need to note your preferred glass configuration. The pinch (dimpled) works well for me. If you prefer native draws… I would concider something like the coiled stem. There’s a good amount of options for stemware and customizations. When you get setup you will hafta come back and let us know. I am very much enjoying mine and I hope you have a similar enjoyment.

I live next to the border with Switzerland, so from LCV maybe the stem and from them directly, if I did some correct calculations is not a cheap device at all.

The only thing that make me curios is their taste signature/profile, because the other devices are costing allot and I never had the opportunity to test. This is the entry level.

I have a ruby twist pro, taroma, all the stunner heads with really nice stems, 6+ dyna configs , tempest 2, volcano hybrid, arizer solo 2, xmax pro, tm2 pH. mighty +, vapman,

EDIT1 : Daily used devices - Ruby / Stunner most of the time. Torch or yll 3 but I prefer the power of the torch. Weekend rotation mostly.

Do you guys think it will fit in this collection?

Thanks all for the replies,

It sounds like it would be a great addition to your lineup. In looking at the collection overall you must be pretty adept at torching for the rewards! The M for my style is a really nice fit. I’m a big fan of the effects when vapor is produced in a hybrid oven. In this instance the glass warms in two sections and is gently diffused by the brass collar. I’m loving the heat retention!!! The oven rocks!!! It’s not a combustion time bomb :bomb: trying to find that just right temp!!! You pop a greasy nugg in and puff a few times while warming!!! Put that bad boy on a clear glass piece… the bigger the better!!! All that vapor is insane!!! Put a .05 load in the tube… puff away the wispy bits!!! I’m betting you won’t be far from a full extraction! I get 2 full… very nice extractions and call it great! I have put my ABV in my ball vape bowls and very little wisps left! I’m putting that in the win column for a few reasons… but… most importantly for bringing life back into my big glass beakers!!! I’m free from looking dorky to combustion friends. I’m got the 18mm dimpled stem. Because you can heat in hand basically… and twist the cap!!! This is sooo brilliant and close to packing a combustion bowl!!!:green_heart: I can camp with friends again! The nice thing is… bears :bear: can only hear combustion coughing. I’m quite :eyes:.

Thank you very much sir for the explanation.

Now need to understand what to buy because the 14mm WPA male to male is not on stock on their site, beside the WPA 3d printed cap, the unit itself and?

I use 14mm

I’m sure he’s going to make more. It’s part of the charm and lure…For me the shop gives that intimate and custom feel. More like an art studio vibe. I’m a big fan of the work! There’s some new things in the works :vulcan_salute:! Probably worth keeping an eye out. I’m exploring some of the other options in the shop as well. Piro will be here next week. I’ll post that one up after it gets here. I’m excited for your journey and mine. Definitely let me know your thoughts when you’re settled in. In my lil world, this BAKm has taken the crown :crown: in my “reach” lineup. I’m able to scratch my itch without flipping the PID on! Safe travels and enjoy the journey :green_heart:
