Best desktop vaporizer for a sipper?

Hey guys,

I have been looking at an upgrade from my Solo 3 and want something that I don’t need to charge for my desk.

I’ve been looking at Ball Vapes but I’m afraid my baby lungs can’t take the heat.

Should I just bite the bullet and give it a try or should I look at the Volcano or similar setups?

You consider yourself a sipper, like short little hits?

my personal fav for tasty sips is couchlog with convector v1 bowl + BB9 dynavap stem

Indeed, my lung capacity is not great.

Unfortunately I can’t get those in Australia, should have specified sorry.

Most Vapes available here are big name brands, think Storz and Bickel, Arizer, (common) Dynavaps etc.

I thank you for the recommendations though, that setup looks really good.

I was thinking about something with a bag or the Adaptaball Kit if I wanted to pull the plug on a Ball Vape (I will probs get one eventually because I wanna support aussie companies).

Hi! I think the Da Buddha Vaporizer (DBV) with the Baller Kit would be perfect for you.

The Da Buddha is a desktop vaporizer that delivers some of the best flavor I’ve ever experienced. It uses a ceramic heating element, and glas, so the taste is exceptionally clean. On top of that, it’s very affordable (you can find used units on Facebook marketplace for less than 100$, I got mine for 50$).

If you enjoy long, relaxing sessions, it’s an excellent choice. I usually load about 0.3 g, and I can comfortably sip on it for around 20 to 30 minutes at low temperatures.

The really nice thing about this vaporizer is that you can easily convert it into a ball vape by adding the Baller Kit, which you can buy directly from the manufacturer. It transforms the Da Buddha into one of the best ball vapes on the market.

I’ll share a short video of one of my sessions using it in ball vape mode. The session itself doesn’t last very long—I know that’s not exactly what you’re looking for—but it should give you a good idea of just how powerful this setup is:

You can run ball vapes at low temps and sip for sure. The adaptaball is a great first ball vape as it offers both a diffuser and injector style with multiple heating mediums.

Thanks for all the cool posts of your setups guys, even though I might not be able to purchase some of them its cool to see sippers getting some love and attention.

My take - It’s completely possible to do sips on a ball vape. It’s a bit of a hassle because you need to remove the heater at the end of each hit.

My first desktop (and only non-ball vape desktop) is the Arizer XQ2. Great for long sipping sessions if you don’t mind the whip. I found the bags would get nasty before I emptied them when I was sipping, but you could probably use smaller bags or just not fill the bags.

Sipper? when you say you can’t take the heat - do you mean you can only take short hits?
Is it the heat, the length, or the potency that bothers you?

If the potency hurts, Skip the ball vapes and get a log or an arizer EQ

If the length or suction hurts, get a ball vape - they’re more open and can work with short hits (I recomment Hornet for shorter/smallers)

A log is a great idea for a sipper and they make great desktops. There’s lots to choose from including Jackrod’s halogen logs right on this site. I have a Couchlog myself just like this post below.

… and it’s amazing but there’s other names like Underdog, Woodscents, Epickai and more to choose from. Logs are little pieces of art that take almost no power and can be on 24/7, ready to hit.

That’s a mighty good question, one honestly I haven’t thought of. One that might require some testing. One thing for certain I don’t think its a heat issue.

All I know for now is that my current method of consuming is taking small sips of my solo 3 and bong use with my solo 3 has to be small hits, otherwise I go into a total coughing fit.

My question is how much airflow do you get on Ballvapes? Specifically the Hornet and Adaptaball.

For a sipper I like the VB1.5 (Ball vape) with the Viper (as opposed to the whip/wand).

This vape allows me to leave it on and the Viper connected, and take sips as I like over an hour or more!

So I bought an AdaptaBall and HOLY. This thing is a game changer.

I realize all the hype around these things was real and I wish I got one earlier.

I’m still doing experimentation, at first I thought the injector style with Zirconia would be better but I swapped to Diffuser with the ruby’s and man, think I cough less with Diffuser at high temps.

I can 100% recommend this kit because it gives you everything you need to experiment with how you want it.

Is this the vape you can easily change the balls out and lots of different configs?

I only seen it as a glance so not sure if it is what I think it is

I also cough less with diffuser and hotter temps.

I need my vapor to have more spine than tickle-terps.
