I’m still confused what’s the cause of the finickiness of the first set of units that went out.

Not trying to make an excuse, yes some of you had to go through some days of dialing in, but there are a number of users are also reporting minimal changes needed and got a more plug and play experience out of the box.

Will probably look into a thermal scanner of some sort to aid in setting up the TCR values on the next assemblies.

I think it all comes down to getting the tcr setting correct. Temperature Coefficient of Resistance speaks to the variable electrical resistance of the heating element at different temperatures. So if you picture a graph of resistance vs temperature, the line would have a slope. And that slope would be how the unit knows how much power to use for a given target temperature.

So getting it wrong either means poor extraction or combustion, depending on which direction the error leans towards. With the heating element so close to the herb it kinda needs to be dead nuts accurate for a good experience.

As the current situation stands. I don’t think this will be resolvable anymore between me and Jamie.

He has no right to any of the design, branding or logo. I’m not even sure if I will get any of my share of the profit from the batch within his possession. But once those are gone, he has no right to reproduce Entheos Hex - Convex 2.

I am the sole contributor to everything related to the device. His main contribution is a drip funding of over 4 years, an amount that equates to a virtual assistant’s salary which mainly got spent on prototyping. Imagine developing up to Convex 2 on VA’s budget. 😆

He has taken accounts which are not even his and holding it hostage but I don’t really care if I have to start over again. Seems exhausting on my end but nothing compared to what I’ve already been dealing with over the last years.

I will still be continuing with this design and brand. I have some options to keep it going for another batch despite this setback. I will do my best to absorb all the fixes needed for the users with minor faults on the initial v2 batch.

I am so sorry… I love this device and I would be happy to get a Convex 3 down the road. I still prefer to use the 1 vs the 2, but love the results from both of them.

I hope the brand continues… my most used devices by far

He has now even blocked my personal account from the entheos.hex IG.

I just brought up how he seems to have been sending out units with misaligned coils.

Apologies for this is the only place I can rant where there is any chance of him seeing it. He seems to utterly believe that people are spending Convex 2 prices for his mid website, payment link and a “premium” unboxing experience. 🫠

Yeah not to be rude but packaging was bare minimum for me. I was honestly disappointed in that aspect. No instructions, no thank you, just a basic box with a logo on top and square foam cutout where the device was.

One could spin it as minimalistic lol.

Also, if he does control the accounts, it sure would be nice to hear back from him! I have received zero replies when I was asking about accessory status but I guess that is not in the cards currently based on recent posts in this topic.

Be rude all you want, he volunteered to do the packaging. Thats what he was able to come up with, while also adding a month of delay for the release of the orders. 🤦‍♂️

He won’t reply to you regarding that since he has no capability to design or produce anything of his own work. I wanted to take care of the current customer base and have the minor issues fixed first.

On the other hand, he was being greedy and wanted to chase the B2B deal offers that came up asap. Insisting he should have majority equity shares since he will be adding capital for certifications, this action itself is a breach of contract between us. A contract that he made himself.

All he has done for the last 2 weeks is deflect every point I make by ignoring them while throwing accusations that I easily counter argued against. Concrete statements that he once again dismissed and ignored. @Entheos.Hex

I think the 2 is a more refined unit, but I still prefer the materials choices in the 1. The bowl area does not get as hot as in the 2 (peek instead of zirconia), the airpath is SS instead of aluminium and the overall weight is much less in 1 than in 2. Also, I can store a small stiring tool in the battery comparment (no room in the 2) for when out of home and the bowl snaps harder (sometimes in my convex 2 it falls cause is too loose).

As I said, in general the 2 is better finished but I still prefer the 1. Performance wise, both are the same. And the screen is way easier to see in the 2

Hello,

I have a problem with my Convex 2.

I received it about a month ago.

I left it unused for several weeks.

I removed the battery.

Now, when I insert a battery, the vaporizer won’t turn on.

If I plug it in, the screen works. I can navigate the menus.

If I unplug it, nothing appears.

What can I do?

I bought it specifically because I’m moving to a new country.

I need it now because I cleaned all my other vaporizers before flying.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Okay, thanks to a great moderator on Discord, I tested all my batteries.

One out of seven worked. One out of three.

So I used a screwdriver to bend the tab that makes contact with the battery a little more.

We’re back in the game!

Cool!

I used the 3D-printed charger to charge…

My first bowl was a bit too big, I think… 😅

I’ll have to learn how to use it better.

Great results in terms of flavor, vapor, and extraction.

---------

Is there any hope of seeing spare parts or modified parts being sold soon?

Glad you got it sorted! I’ve been in meetings all day and just saw your message on Discord. That speed loader looked pretty sweet!

But yeah I have kept my eye on the location of the top contact because it seems easy to bend too much upward. It’s held stiff so far though and reads batteries no problem.

I have been trying dosing capsules with the convex with mixed results. I use them without the lid cause otherwise I miss one of the positives of this vape: the instant vapor. i tried the S&B and the Legacy por capsules:

- S&B: i dont really like them cause i can feel they change the taste. they also leave a small gap as they are smaller than the bowl size by a bit and that also makes them less convinient as i feel i have to put more effort to get the same vapor.
- Legacy pro: now these ones work really well in my opinion. I dont feel any falvour from them. The issue is that they fit too snug on the Convex 1 and sometimes taking them out of the bowl is a PITA. The fit is perfect wiht the Convex 2, but the one I take out of home is the 1, so that defeats the purpose of capsules.

So ended up printing these one dose dispensers (after trying doob tubes and pouring more than needed several times) and I am really happy with them. I find them easy to use and I dont have to pay attention to how much I load, as I can just tip over one dose at a time.

I also added a wooden stiring tool in the battery compartment and a 3d printed stem so I dont have to worry about breaking glass:

 ![WhatsApp Image 2026-06-25 at 15.21](https://420vapegeeksdiscourse-803871049052-us-east-2-an.s3.dualstack.us-east-2.amazonaws.com/uploads/original/2X/0/06c68a97e1f1ef5536f64e3f3eb986cbfa26a558.jpeg)

yeah, I am aware of 3d printed plastics (PETG in this case) and I am not worried. Out of home is maybe 5% of the total use and the stem does not get hot at all.

I am super happy with the Convex

Out of curiosity, why opt for the 3d printed stem? I can’t imagine it being on the same level for flavor as the stock stem. Is it to lower the weight when going out.

Edit oh my bad I missed you said to remove breakage concerns. The zirc stem should be pretty darn durable, though! Black zirconia ceramic has a hardness rating higher than steel iirc and is much more resistant to cracks or breaks than glass.

When placed rightside up, the capsule’s fit in the bowl is loose. The bowl tapers narrower towards the bottom, as does the capsule. Flipping the capsule places it’s wide end into the bowl’s narrow end. This creates a blockage that forces the hot air to flow THROUGH the capsule, not around it.
