Is there a DIY category planed? To show and get inspiration for own projects, since there’s so much cool stuff out there. Glass works, wood works, 3d prints, metal works. Also interesting for makers maybe?

We definitely want to serve DIY threads here. Was that category on fc active enough to warrant it’s own category here, or should that stuff get lumped into the category the finished product belongs in?

DIY has been on my mind as well. It’s a prominent activity in the 420vapezone discord.

It could be used as a repository for stl files for 3d printing or code for microcontrollers.

It was one of the ones I spent a lot of time in. Specifically there was one about DIY log vapes. It was very active before FC went away. I am not seeing any posts here that are older than 2024. Much of the activity on the thread I was on, was from 2025-2026.

for now, feel free to start diy threads in the current categories that they apply to. You can start the title with "DIY - " and the project title.
We can add a specific DIY category later (or sooner) to organize them.

I would even make 2 categories: one for DIY threads and 3D files to print (it is a diy after all) and an Artisan/Accessory makers category where the people can make threads about their “creation catalog” or show what they do and share a link to a site where people can buy things (in case they have one).

those are great ideas!
we can certainly create spaces for DIY content if there are enough threads to fill it. For now it can fall into the current categories and we can tag it appropriately
