Flower Mill is a brand of grinders based in Phoenix, AZ. First released in 2020, Flower Mill grinders are toothless, using 20 “Flutes” to roll flower over a milling plate. Flower Mill says this “milling” process reduces tearing and crushing of the flower and produces a more consistent grind.
Flower Mill currently offers a few grinder models with the main differences being size, materials, and options

I own two Flower Mill grinders and really like the consistent, fluffy grind I get from them.
I find that flower on the dryer side works best, and that the grinder will clog if the flower is too wet or if too much force is applied when “milling.“ When this happens to me I stir the clog loose and continue grinding.I find a mill with only moderate force works well for me.
Flower Mill responded slowly and somewhat poorly to concerns that metal could be shaved from the grinder top (into the grind) if the flower is ground with a lot of force. I believe they have asserted that this issue has been mitigated in their latest grinders.

I tested and reviewed it when it first released, and I didn’t like it, but after a few evolutions it came around.

I use the 2.5 Stainless premium with the extra fine plate

Love my Flower Mill, use the medium fine plate and it works so well for almost anything I put through it. It does have a problem with super sticky buds though and likes to make these like little pellets out of it which is weird. But the way it tears through regular or slightly dry herb with minimal effort is extremely nice and I love not having to mess around getting stuck bits out of the teeth.

yeah this is why I tossed all 3 of the ones I had out personally think its a garbage product not something I’d ever be comfortable recommending.

I got the 2.0 ss premium last year, I like it a lot. I like to grind just what I’m going to vape right before I vape it, so I’m not running through tons of material at once. I appreciate that I don’t have to pick out bits from between teeth. I had an issue where I dropped it and the top bent and didn’t seat right, but I put the whole top in a vice between some wood blocks and squeezed it down and that fixed it.

i think that’s a moisture related issue, i get it too, but the issue goes away when i adjust my hand pressure. Dry nugs don’t require much force, stickier nugs require more smash & mill energy

i use the extra fine plate, which makes moist nugs even more challenging

To me its just to much to overlook between that and the top having to stay level for good results I just never really get the appeal. To many good grinders out there for me to want to recommend something that will lead to frustration. Think it looks like a good idea but I’ll stick to the teeth grinders. I do love that everyone and their brother is showing those things on social media lol

for me it’s one of the few grinders that can match the grind quality of the santa cruz and brilliant cut

it took me several years and 3 or 4 product evolutions to get past the finesse requirements and start to see them as a characteristic instead of a flaw

Y’all see this 3.5" pro kit preorder (500 available)? I’m tempted but at $459 I’m struggling to justify… it’s the same cost as my Aroma-Tis but already having those I dunno. I would like some more versatility to grind size since the Aromas are kinda locked in and i was thinking milled weed would work really well in the BAKx (whole nugs work well but unless it’s packed evenly you get hot spots).

Looks like it has some unreleased plate designs included too.

Yeah I liked the idea it comes with 6 different plates considering my vape collection and the fact that I currently only use whole nugs or aroma grinds only.

I had the 10% welcome code available so I went ahead and ordered it.

I wanted the Stona more but this should scratch the milling itch (hopefully… depending on other comments I may cancel before it ships on the 10th of August)

You talking about throwing 3 out definitely gives me pause.

I have milled other things in the kitchen and get the basic concept. It’s quite a bit different from grinding but I was thinking that new extra coarse plate might be perfect for loading the BAKx so for the convection aspect air flows evenly to help with the hot spots and a better overall taste start to finish.

Some of us won’t use silly string to tie our shoes for a bit of commission we both know what im talking about with the weedballs. Its a shit product. Top wobbles around, grinds a specific sort of humidity level, yes you can dial in with screens but thats a lot of bs to get to vape some weed. Think people should ask why does every influencer shill it . Without a doubt the most nonsense mainstream grinder

i make peanuts from Flowermill and the commissions don’t affect my judgement. I was an affiliate for the first 3 years of me shitting on them, too.

if you can’t appreciate the difference, i understand, it took me a few years to understand.

It’s a popular grinder and I bet there would be more people talking about it if you weren’t shitting on it with every bump

I think my assessments fair. The issue is most people skirt around the problem while only acknowledging the appreciation of the differences. Doesnt fall into something i can recommend for someone to like the mill there going to have to appreciate all its major annoyances
