Well apparently that’s another urban legend we can hear on reddit. But my little imps told me vtac is not an old person at all. Plus it never was hosted on a crappy server in a basement either, another reddit fantasy. And if it was just a matter of restoring the DB from an old backup, the problem would have been long resolved. ---

Litterally the only reason it can’t be restored is no backups kinda what I do for a living this isn’t rocket science. They can say what they want but backups pretty much work that way. Really doesn’t matter where its hosted. Im saying they didn’t do backups ---

well not successfully anyways haha.. backups often run but if nobody looks at the logs or emails or results then yep.. bunch of unsuccessful backups day after day week after week or however the frequency was setup ---

that’s exactly what i don’t like about the “tradhead” rule, thanks for pointing it out. The way FC implemented was lopsided. Ironically the reason i didn’t participate frequently on FC is because vape discussions were locked down to the master threads, and the master threads were filled with repetitive commentary. Making a living and financial incentives are often conflated for dishonesty. I’ve been doing everything transparently for 10 years. Our rules and monetization methods will all be handled transparently as well. ---

I think we need a rule update to specifically lock out politics and religion the Flaske Shipping thread is spiraling into political rants ---

My 2 cents is it’s pretty relevant to that thread. Folks are blaming Tafée for tariff and brokerage fees, just pointing out that the source of that issue has an orange tint to it. But yeah, I see where that goes and now we are talking about who is being booed at the NBA finals so I get the concern. ---

I 100% agree. Many other countries deal with tariffs and fees. You can discuss if this should be handled by the company or the consumer, without talking about the politics. Otherwise, there is no way this ends well in keeping a harmonious community. I mean, look how divisive fiberglass has become. Imagine a political free for all! ---

We should definitely make a formal rule to outlaw political and religious discussion. I don’t think it will be hard to enforce, as most people just need a reminder ---

Not even that…also in the IT world. There should have absolutely been a disaster recovery plan. even if it was 3 months old, I’ve spun whole severs back up on new hardware. I don’t know the specifics other than this was lack of preparation. ---

I probably broke it also when I said my soul dies everytime I hit a pax 🤣. Well fuck me for not reading this. Agree both those topics really have no place in these discussions. Politics in general is a massive time suck for most people turn off the news and touch some grass. ---

I assume this wouldn’t include the politics around legalization, stigmatization of what these devices are used for? That is quite heavily politicized and I don’t think that should be forgotten. Not saying that I disagree with this rule as written per se, focused discussion is good. But just remember that politics does affect us all. ---

my thoughts might affect us all but unless your making 8 figures you really have no say so in the process outside an illusion of choices. Why I don’t care much about it learned long time ago don’t worry about things you can’t control. ---

This place is too moderated. I’m going to scale back my comments in this place. I’ll lurk but I am not going to contribute when every word I say is scrutinized. Making a joke about kissing the top of the unit because the mouthpiece is too short and then getting the comment pulled because it’s “offensive?” lol. This place needs to lighten up. ---

Methinks a bad case of “delusions of grandeur”have infected the mods here? I can’t talk about a very popular show, that many watch and enjoy while vaping? No skin off my back I moderate my OWN sub on Reddit for the Flaske, new & small may it be. Or simply use r/Vaporents which has 85K+ members which dwarfs this site & FC COMBINED.
