I got my Frolic about a month ago.
It’s a great vape and definitely worth its price tag. It’s certainly ahead of my TM2 at the moment on the reach test and the extra 10 deg c over the Venty is welcome.
However, it doesn’t push my Venty off its perch as my most turned to vape or my TM2 off its perch as my favourite vape.
There’s just something better about the hit and flavour of the TM2. The quality of the Venty’s vapour quality just edges it over the Frolic for me..

I agree with you. TM2 flavor is brighter and louder with the glass stem. It’s actually too terpy for me most of the time.
Venty has the fluff and a better interface. Venty is still my most used portable, Frolic and Flaske are close though.

I don’t have the TM2 or the Venty but I find to get the best taste out of the Frolic you need to use the direct oven adapter with a glass stem. I hack the DOA a bit by removing the screen so I can push a 14mm glass joint into it and use it as a bowl. I like getting closer to the heater rather than using a TM2 stem that sits higher in the adapter.

I pulled my screen too. Why heat it up?
A 16 mm stem like TM, butts into the tapered part of the bowl with no adapter. Actually works well, Try it.
I usen a lot of Oct Taster by Grav with balls. I break a few, but hey its glass.

in 2026 the battery life on the TM2 is so bad I don’t take it seriously anymore. Hate to say it but that device is basically dead to me at this point lol. Kinda been my thoughts since the Frolic came out. I can see why people would prefer a Venty though

I stopped using the Venty when the Frolic arrived but now rediscovering it and while the Frolic will still be my go-go portable electric there is something very comfy about the Venty and the taste at higher temps is much more nice and sustained. Was considering selling it but gotta keep it in rotation now.

@grindy - I think, the Venty is a nice compliment to the Frolic. I keep switching between them for my primary.

With the cooling unit removed, the t bowl for the TM2 fits quite well in the taper of the Frolic bowl.

I have rebuilt my version of this coolingstem in a larger formfactor using a large smoked borosilicate TM stem, a smoked missile mouthpiece and a couple of 6mm quartz balls. It’s screenless like the other build and the balls are a frictionfit. If you get a spiraled stack going they don’t clog up the hole in the mouthpiece and the slight overfill makes it so they do not rattle at all when pushed against the screen in the DOA.
Again, a couple of bowls will provide enough buildup to stop the balls from falling out but be aware that they are not secured in any way. Since this is the only stem i use and always load a capsule or the oven instead of stemloading i only remove the stem for cleaning and this isn’t an issue in my usecase.
Airflow on this is as open as it gets, pretty much a direct draw through the unit with almost no obstruction and i think the smoked stem pairs very nice with the colorscheme.

I looked, seemed more like a new user had a combust.

I wonder if someone played with TCR too much without understanding it. I saw some people in the past say it performs fine but wanted more power so they adjust anyway.
According to Dejan these should never combust if kept within their calibration “because it’s not a vape if it combusts” or something to that effect.

I have zero intent to dig open those screws on mine, fo sure. It’s hot enough at 375. Seemed like a new user just overcooked it. If the devices start catching on fire, though, I want to know. Really respect mine, it has incinerated a containership full of jars* since I got it. Five batteries in rotation. No problems. Admit I haven’t even changed out that oven screen yet. It’s easy to clean.

Soooooo…it was hard decision, waiting for the Flaske in europ or better for the v2
or get the Frolic…and now I’m here…Holding the beast in my hands and hat now 7 bowls with it.
The decision was right! I love my daily Tafee bowl 2 and it will be for the day use, but for after work and night it could also replace the Arizer XQ2. The frolic gives me that hard hit with a great body height. Couldn’t believe that there could be so much of a difference between those devices. All make you high as fuck but all different.
I bought the v2 cooling unit from the TM Black edition, a zirconium stem & a Glas mothpeace. It cools and feels great. I addition I bought a TM glass stem with some Glas balls inside.
For the TB2 pots, with the help of this forum I found spare screens wich are very cheap. Dose everyone use the original screens or have someone found spare screens not from frolic?
I tried to add the screen in the original CU as it wasn’t in the unit on arrival and It’s not easy to set the screen up in the CU. Any tips on this.
On the first day I’m very happy with the device!

If yours has the updated stock CU the stir tool should fit through the opening at the top (under the metal LL piece) to help when you push it in from the bottom so it doesn’t get stuck too far in.
It’s been a bit since I did it, but I think I just used my pinky to work it up until it fell into the grooves and then pushed any edges that went too far back in place from the top either using the stir tool or a thinner dab tool thay comes with a bunch of my smell proof bags. I think the hardest part is getting over the fear of messing it up and just doing it.
