How does the Frolic perform with hash? The only video I see online using it for concentrates shows poor results but I think his choice of steel wool was probably not the best for a convection heavy vape.
I know that convection vapes have a harder time with it but was hoping the higher temperatures and power of the Frolic might compensate for that. I am more interested in session mode though, and I know the temperatures are lower on that, but this might not be an issue since on demand heat up time seems to be negligible.
I used to have a Milaana some years back and didn’t really love the unregulated nature of it, I prefer something that requires less attention to the process, but if memory does not fail, it was the only convection portable I tried that could handle hash. Vape wool could get toasted though, this was hard to control.
The vape I own that best handles it is the Solo 3, it is a very conduction heavy vape, but it is not really portable enough, and I sometimes yearn for something less restricted in airflow. The Venty did not handle hash well, their new oven/heating design while superior in all aspects was worse for this than the Mighty.
I already have a Tempest but do not care for this type of vape, prefer something that runs more on autopilot, with a lighter or wand the reheating is too inconsistent and involved. Plus if I want to slow down, get into the moment, and feel like using something that involves more attention, the Vapman is best for this.
Ah, almost forgot to mention. I know about the Bakx and that is probably the best solution but the combination of high price with the fragility of the L shaped design when attached to the mod makes me look elsewhere for now at least. Was also eyeing the Convex 2, but seems to be even more convection than Frolic so not sure. In general I think I prefer some conduction in my vapes as too much convection just seems to scorch my throat.
Btw glad to see the FC elders here, just found out about this place a few days ago and I must admit that after FC went down it became increasingly difficult to find intelligent discussions on the topic.
