Frolic Test: On-Demand vs Session

I posted a new video and vape test to the TV section

This was actually take 2. The first time around I measured each bowl but didn’t force them to be consistent. The results were interesting, but too inconsistent to be really useful.

So for this one I used .2g bowls for all 7 tests. I also used the same herb and the same 10 second hit lengths.

It’s interesting that each test bowl reduced the weight consistently, at least in on-demand mode.

The full write up and video are on my site

It should probably be pointed out that a significant part of that weight loss is water. Assuming a 62% RH to start with, I would guess that moisture loss was the primary weight loss.

Playing with the ball vape and Frolic, and Mighty+, I’m honestly beginning to doubt color as an indicator of extraction too. If I leave the heater on the ball vape I’ll get a dark ass roast, but I don’t notice a faster or stronger effect with a darker roast. The Frolic tends to give me much stronger high than the Mighty+ and thicker clouds, but the Mighty consistently gives a darker and more even roast than the Frolic.

oooh it’d be cool to do the same test with two extreme moisture differences, there might be some interesting learnings from that too

Maybe some herb at the driest vaping range to most moisture range…..isn’t that 58% and 62%? Would that 4 % be noticeable? The HG I most often vape is pretty moist at 62%

I think my weed is like 50-54% I don’t like the humidity pack or weed in the 58% + region. I’m not really sure what benefits high humidity bring except to finger feel.

I find that when weed is on the drier side, and you go to grind, it crumbles and creates a lot more fines that will pass through a coarse mesh screen or even a CCD.

When it’s more on the moist end, it doesn’t do the same crumbling action at grinding. Keeps cooling units cleaner for me and stops me from getting scooby snacks with my dynavaps lol

It’s just a long term storage option for me. I need it to be able sit a year or more stored. I plan to drop to the 58% pack for a try sometime. I have a buddy who drys to real low and I find it crumbles too much and flavor is lost a bit. But that could be his curing technique too.

I thought about this post as I was cleaning. This is about 5g worth of vaping through The Screwball.
