How’s your tolerance?

I haven’t had a tolerance break in 5+ years. Not 1 day. The past 3+ years, ball vapes have been my daily driver. I do 8-10 .10-.15 gram rips a day.

Then I switch over to the Venty. I get absolutely baked on one bowl with my Wife, or a Volcano Hybrid bag. My point is, I don’t think ball vapes have destroyed my tolerance. Am I just lucky?

I’ve only taken one T break ever. That was a few years ago when I was detained for 6 months in a Federal Prison. In total with a new term of parole my T Break lasted for 3 years.

The day that I was released from obligation to the Feds, I enjoyed my 1st high with the POTV ONE:

That was 2 years ago, and I have no desire for another break from flower!

I feel like tolerance is mostly a daily thing. Going too hard on a wake n’ bake means all day is gunna be big hits to maintain.

I have taken breaks for travel. I find the first day back my tolerance is ridiculously low. But it goes back to normal the next day.

Yes, you are very lucky

I honestly don’t think I’ve ever taken a self-imposed t-break in all the years I’ve smoked/vaped. Non-self-imposed like LASO spending too much time at Winchell’s (long story) or end of summer drought or the paraquat scare or Richard Nixon. But never of my own choice. Abd I’m a 24/7/365 user.

My tolerance sucks

Gone are the long productive highs, now I’m either paranoid or potato, and i gotta vape for an hour to get there.

The two weeks after 9/11 were my weed 9/11. The mildly ironic thing was we had to go to NYC to pickup because Long Island dried up.

I have gone 9 years without a T break, and I’m also high 24-7. I have taken several inhalation breaks due to bad coughing issues, but I maintain with edibles and tinctures. I don’t have a ball vape and currently have no interest in one.

 Tolerance. I only feel the effect once a day… But it will still make me hungry with uses later in the day. Eating is what matters… Sticking with flower. Concentrates and ball vapes aren’t for me.

Took a three weeks break last year. Came home stiff, sore and eight pounds lighter.

Mine is ok but seems manageable. I found that using the same device/method of consumption led me to not feeling effects as much but since I changed a couple years ago to never use the same device more than 2 sessions in a row and to never use the same flower from session to session.

In the early 2010s before my extended t break due to job I would smoke 1/4 Oz a day of homegrown stuff. I only had 3 strains to pick from and it got to a point where all I felt was a tiny tingle and nothing else unless I kept increasing the dosage.

I havent taken a break in 3 years but one or two days I only had gummies instead of vapes. I’ve found a pretty happy place overall from a maintenance perspective but I can only really get my face melted by mixing flower and hash/rosin. One on its own doesn’t usually get me to that level anymore and I try to keep the twax sessions to 1 or 2 a week (Friday/Saturday night).

The main thing was realizing that if I was not getting the same levels of effects to not increase consumption trying to chase the feeling, but instead change methods or lower consumption for a short time period.

It’s what I call vape tolerance and is related to a vape’s signature. Hit the same vape day after day and you will get used to it. Then any other vape can get you blasted.

So you’re staying stop at 365 vapes.

Got it.

One vape a day, keeps the tolerance bug away..

Agree with both these posts. Also as someone else mentioned, changing strains often helps keep the effects fresh. I hadn’t used my Solo3 in a while and when I used it recently, it smacked me down pretty good with that hybrid hit.

Sometimes it’s really hard to do but I feel that with weed, less is more. I find if I can keep my intake low enough (<=0.5g/day for me) then I can still get a great high and also get super baked on the occasions that I want that.

Right now, I’m around 5 sessions of 0.1g bowls per day but if I do a bowl or two with some rosin on the weekend, I can still blast off to the moon.

I’m 24/7/365 for many years and I have different stages of tolerance.

There’s this kind of micro tolerance, where every day’s amount affects the tolerance the day after. This can effectively be managed by rotating strains and devices, like mentioned above.

Right now I also manage my micro tolerance by mainly using light strains about 10-15%. This way I can reduce my intake while vaping the same amount of flower. Occasionally switching to my 20-30% strains is extra fun then, of course.

My devices are kinda rated in terms of hit strength. If I don’t have the desire for a specific one, I pick the lightest ones to start the session, then climbing up as needed. This combined with the strains gives a wide variety of effects.

This micro thing is on top of a much bigger tolerance. I basically can’t get REALLY blasted, no matter how much I consume. And the initial effects doesn’t last very long anymore. To reset this kind of tolerance, I probably had to stop for several months, which I probably won’t. But I’ll further reduce, in order to maximize effects. About 2g a day is a bit too much in the long term.

I feel like alternating between flower and concentrates helps keep my tolerance in check.

I also like rotating my vaporizers, ideally using a different one each day. It keeps things fresh, and I never get bored.

I love trying new vapes whenever my budget allows. Every device offers a different experience.

I vape because I genuinely enjoy it. I enjoy the ritual, the high, and savoring delicious terps.

And no matter what, I never skip my yearly two month tolerance break. I think it’s important to give my body a chance to rest and reset ^^

Just ingested for the first time in 43 days (but who’s counting?) I can confidently say that my tolerance is nil atm :joy:

I admire discipline, and respect two aspects of your methodology for separate reasons, that intertwine.
-Routine provides a healthful mindset that also provides our physiology anticipatory preparedness for established practices.
-Ritual provides structure which in turn creates a sense of predictability. In most scenarios, ritual brings comfort.
I subscribe to both theories in my activities, work, and in my Marijuana/vaporizer use, although I don’t take T breaks due to my situation.

I imagine after your 2 month break that the first session is a great one!
