The thinkdanks about hash got me looking at stuff other than flower and wax at my local dispos. I realized they have kief as low as 14.50 a gram so I’m definitely going to try making some hash! (they don’t seem to carry that). But I also saw that they have moonrocks. Never tried them and a google search on vaping them doesn’t show much. But of what I did find one place says to grind it and the stickiness in it will just eventually be removed by grinding flower like normal. Another place says to break them up and use in chunks. I realize both methods would probably work in my solo 3 but I wondered if there was a preferred way to do it. I don’t want to fuck up my grinder or vape by doing something stupid with them.
Since you have an S3..it’s the perfect whole nug vape.. I’d use some scissors & cut a piece big enough for the bowl..maybe, start at a low temp like 356° & go from there..You’ll be Baked off just a couple tokes.
I’m not a pro when it comes to moonrocks.haha but it just made sense to start in on demand so that the powder & the oils melt into the bud a little slower…once it’s all melted, I’m sure you could hit it how ever you wanted..it’s been awhile since I’ve had moonrocks .they are very potent I know that..haha..anyway, take care man..
I recommend you to use some vapewool between the moonrock (nugget or coarse grind) and the open end of the Solo stem to protect your heater from possible resin. Not necessary If you have planned to use the Solo upside down on a bubbler or waterpipe.
