My SiC balls definitely respond to induction heating in a different way to using rubies. Sometimes I can hear the the SiC balls moving or vibrating inside the coil. Rubies seem relatively inert by comparison. I get darker roasts with Sic. I have heard that a few sellers are selling silicone nitride in place of silicone carbide.

This Joystik is amazing! For the first test Flight with the Flare @ 95w 60sec first 2 hits flavor is really good 3-4 hits flavor not far from 1-2. Super even roast. I’m a FAN!

Glad you’re enjoying! I just use 50 x 2.77mm silicone carbide balls and the YLL 3.0 on 80watts with Molicell P50B batteries and it is powerful enough!
I Almost combusted for the First time on the Joystik. I tried it with the torch for the first time. I didn’t hear a click I stoped when I started seeing vapor coming from the head and it didn’t seem I torched it that long maybe like 20 seconds maybe!?
Works best with a torch IMHO (true for most sticks actually)…angle on the slope by the stop signs.
How was the hit?
The hit was incredibly hot and harsh. AVB was Black I was right at the line of combustion. I was Torching at the Angled Band but Definitely did something wrong for the first time using the torch haha 
. Will have to try again for Science. Definitely a technique I got to learn

where were you aiming your torch? i have to torch beyond the click to get dark roast

cool idea honestly. i don’t know if it will catch on, but it’ll serve better dabs than a nectar collector
He only made like 50 but if it turns out good he said he has plans for slurpers, towers even metal inserts or lining like wand stuff for IHs too on Beedles stream as well.

Does anyone here know of anyone making a custom sleeve for the Joystik to replace the silicone one. I can’t find anything online. I found different color silicone ones but would like something different.
Probably would need to be a custom request from one of the known artisans.
Anyone you would recommend? If you could DM me some info if possible. I don’t have social media so it’s gets difficult for me to reach out sometimes
