Limelight Frolic Storz dosing capsules?

Continuing the discussion from Frolic by Limelight Herb:

I have been using the Storz dosing capsules with good success. Has anyone else tried that?

The cooling unit of the Frolic was modified from the original to specifically allow the use of S&B dosing capsules, and is probably the most popular dosing cap for the Frolic. There are a couple people using the AVLP dosing caps.

I use AVLP capsules in my Frolic with no problems…helps to unload when still hot/warm​:+1:t3:

I also use AVLP dosing caps in my Frolic. I tried the S&B caps I have lying around as well, but I like the AVLP capsules better for a number of reasons, the main one being that they’re easy to get open.

I use Ti-Capsules from Vgoodiez in my Frolic and pretty much never load the oven directly. I bought way too many because i thought i’ll load a bunch and take them with me when out and about but i find that just keeping a capsule in the unit and always reloading it is way more convenient and keeps the unit very clean. Airflow with the Ti-Capsules is not as wide open as without obviously but the small amount of added drawrestriction gives some conduction and nice even heating throughout.
