Now that I have two butane devices (lotus and dv) I’m starting to see the appeal of an ih. So now I need to decide which one to target. I’m not worried about the lotus. I’m not willing to pay for an inductor so I’ll just keep using the butane for that. I do plan on getting a joystik but I’ve also been following the crown/mako/solaris threads with a lot of interest.
Seems like the yll is the most used one but I’m wondering if it’s best for me given my use case
Most versatile would probably be the Inductor, though it’s not often the most practical. The Wand is most portable but also probably the weakest of the lot.
Yll 3.0 seems to top the charts right now but I read about another IH that’s on the horizon that could be better. I’m holding off on an Yll until we hear more about this other one.
Oh yeah. I remember either tcc or dab hut teased it on the discord a while back. Definitely want to see that before I pick one! Iirc it’s supposed to come out by the end of the year.

I hear The Brute is supposed to be very good for Dynavapes but not sure about how good is is with other vapes.
I was surprised to read in the Dynavape thread that the wand is not great with Dynavapes.

Also, last I saw from Brenyo his IH is dead and not happening, it’s why he partnered with Yll for a Mad version of the 3.0.
Yup for me the Brute works wonderfully with a Dynavap. Before that, I had the portside mini… which I still do and it still works. I have no idea if they’re compatible with any other vaporizers.
my personal experience with the Wand was not good. It was cumbersome and seemed to heat the cap unevenly. I don’t know. I only gave it a few tries before I said fuck this lol.
Does anyone have experience with vapoven? They sell kits with an arduino and modifiable code so I could set it up with power control and I’d imagine use a different size coil if the stock one is too small for things other than dv. It would be $100 with shipping from the uk. I know I can get a yll for that on sale but if it’s a good product I enjoy a project. Of course I’m still waiting to see if there’s a new ih coming out later this year.

id probably wait there is a new one coming otherwise the Inductor is the most versatile one to use I use it with the Lotus
I had a vapoven which was great for a standard dynavap but wouldn’t work with the armour cap or my anvil so switched to a yll 3.
I am waiting for VGoodiEZ to release their induction heater. I understand it’s currently in beta testing.
Is this the one that we think Austyn had in his video? I couldn’t watch more than a few minutes so I have no clue.

That’s the impression I got but I’m also not really sure. I just want one with a speaker which I think the VgoodiEZ one has.
Im a Wand user, works well for my standard dynas. Use it freestyle(no insert) aka torch style to vary the temp of the hit to my needs/desires of the moment. Its gone through a few sets of batteries but the unit is till going strong. I’ve had it for roughly two years. I originally bought it so I could vape outside in the wind. Im 80% Wand 20% torch.
Long time Wand user here too. It’s been really good to me and it’s still going strong after 7 years and a lot of falls.
It works great with Dynavaps and I use it freehand too. It also works great with my Stunner, Tornado, CeramoXL and Zooter.
I’ve been very happy over the years that I’ve been able to use it for so many different vapes. I even managed to use it on my Vaponic that I modified by adding a metal cylinder to the tip.
I like that you can vape hosticks while actively heating them with it too. That’s a big plus for me.
The YLL with all it’s power settings seems the most popular these days. It looks nice but I don’t feel I need it. The Inductor is the most powerful and versatile but pricey.
Why wouldn’t it work? The coil diameter?
The head doesn’t fit, it is too wide - it only fits dynavap size vapes.
Well not as useful for today’s big sticks, but The Cauldron by Pipes was my first. Still have it and still works great with DV’s. Used very little to none now, but when I converted from combustion, it was a game changer for me. 1000’s of sessions with that baddie.
Does anyone know what happened with Pipes? For me he was the originator of stick IH’s.
I ran across Pipes when I was looking around for something I haven’t heard about yet. He’s still in business. Apparently he’s on Etsy too. No specs on the site so I have no idea if the hole has been enlarged over the years since you bought yours. There’s no mention of any device other than dv or of the armor cap, though so I doubt it.
