I feel like it is a separate topic, than rides with either Sativa or Indica, and is not strain, chemotype, or chemovar dependent.

I’d say that’s spot on that it is a different discussion. The biphasic effect basically says dose is everything. It’s the goldilocks principle where some doses are too small (no noticeable benefit), some are too large (panic, anxiety) and some are just right. It’s different for everyone depending on their tolerance and physiology but most people fall in typical ranges.

I think that we can safely say that the “dose” i.e. how high you feel mostly depends on THC content regardless of the “indica” or “sativa” designation and the THC molecule is identical in all Cannabis plants. The modern plant has been crossbred so extensively as to have erased the original “indica” and “sativa” strains probably. I think we should use the chemovar profile—the specific lab-tested percentages of terpenes and minor cannabinoids—to predict how a product might affect us outside of just THC%.

I find the heat and how it’s applied have more an impact than indica / sativa / hybrid
