Just wondering what the communities thoughts are on if it’s worth the upgrade if you already have and love the Proxy v1? I really like the new proxy core kit which will not work on the original proxy but can’t justify the upgrade just for that. Besides the new way to core carry is there a noticeable performance improvement?
I had the v1 and recently switched to v2 when the core came out - only paid £100 for the v1 so I didn’t mind upgrading. I have now had it for a couple of weeks and it is a definite step up - seems to produce more vapor and hit harder. I make my own water hash so great being able to adjust the temperature rather than being limited with the preset temps. The core is really functional and fine on lower temps and form factor is excellent if trying to be more discreet. If I lost it, I would by a replacement rather than switch back to the v1.
I appreciate the feedback. I have the V1 and love it but the core kit intrigues me. I wish they would come up with a conversion kit for the V1 Proxy.
I had the V1 and was immediately blown away by the V2 when I got it. I find it to be a huge improvement over the V1 and would highly recommend upgrading.

I did end up buying the core kit to go with it and I literally used it for half a day and I switched everything back over to the glass. I just preferred the hits better and it was cooler vapor, but of course that is all going to be determined on what your needs are with the device. The core is amazing for portability and not having to worry about broken glass.
That’s pretty much what I would expect for myself as well with how I see using it. I just may pick up the core version and use the glass from my v1. I mostly have that one in a WPA to throw on the glass of the day. I like that easy OG glass piece. The new design is pretty but looks far more fragile
Proxy Core kinda blew me away. I’d always considered Proxy to be a softer way to dab but the Proxy Core smacks like the Switch Go
Sounds like a winner, I am sure I will use the core cup often too for any outdoor activity or concert. Perfect for that I would think. I do really like my v1 a lot but damn does it produce massive amounts of reclaim. The Pivot serves the outdoor activities role currently and does a fine job all things considered but that next level would be nice.
You touched on something really great about the reclaim difference from V1 versus V2… The chamber is a bit larger on the V2, which helps alleviate the reclaim issue. I rarely have reclaim now, but it was never ending with the V1 version. I have the pivot as well and I really like having options for taking these devices with me on the go. The switch over to the core is so quick and simple to do. Options are a wonderful thing lol
I purchased an after market xl atomizer for my proxy and it worked decently well controlling the River Reclaim and cloud production but it isn’t compatible with the proxy brain….no hepatic feedback, no real control over the heat…it seemed to me ride or die so I went back to the original atomizers. The safety concern won out.
