Do both the pipe and Core versions have the new design? Or am I stuck with the configuration I buy?
man i’m kinda blown away at the way the Core completely changes the way the Proxy hits.

@420vapezone - How hot is the vapor from the Core compared to a device with water like the Carta 2 or Puffco Peak? I love the size and concept, but me and hot vapor don’t get along.
No, the device is the same, it’s the accessories that are different. I would suggest buying the pipe version and then the core kit is $50. It’s basically just the aluminum cup and the mouthpiece.
Also, get a WPA for it so you can move it to your preferred rig as well.
it’s definitely on the hot side, i use proxy on the blue setting

Does everyone turn off their Proxy. I just got one about 2 months ago and from day one I swab it and just put it in the box, but then I just realized it was on. I thought once I closed the app it went off. Love the Proxy. I tried dabs with a yocan evolve years ago and coughed so hard I didn’t think I would ever use a dab device. Surprisingly to me it so smooth Amazing.
I picked up the wizard pipe for my Proxy and it is now my new favourite way to use it at home. It’s good for smaller dabs, I can use a small amount and it’s very flavourful because there’s no water, and let’s face it… Sometimes it’s cool just to feel like a wizard 
If anyone hasn’t yet, I highly recommend you get a Core kit for your Proxy. It really is great for on the go. A no brainer accessory for just around $50.
It does run a bit hotter so I set up a lower temp in the app for the Core. Tend to run it hotter though a bubbler and somewhere in between with the dry pipe.
Do you have to use an app to use this device?
No you don’t need the app as it will operate stand alone. That being said i like using it with my android tablet so i can get exact temperature reading. Otherwise there is nothing much you get as far as information from a Proxy . The app will also allow you to customize the settings for temps on different types of sessions and coordinate the lighting.
So since i have a Proxy exactly why do i want a core kit? I mean i recognize core is smaller and more compact, but not sure i care if it doesn’t suit my use case.
How low of a temp can you run it?
Im thinking of picking one up for on the go, but it seems like it would be hot as hell with the core kit.
You have to use the app to set the temp because the stock lowest at blue setting is 490F. I find 450 low enough but you can go as low as 400! I definitely set it lower when using the Core vs a pipe or bubbler glass option.
The option for lower temps (the other being longer sesh times) is the main reason I got the new Proxy even though my og Proxy still runs okay.
