Seasonal Temperature Adjustment

It starts getting colder outside. Since I refuse to close my windows before October, this reflects in my room temperature. Now I’m aiming for a very specific roast, so my technique/temp with every vape needs a bit of adjustment. Around 10F more for ball vapes, ~5C more for portables, 1-2 more seconds of torching or induction heating for the stickies, half a digit higher on the Tinymight, etc.

Do you guys also find yourself adjusting temperature and technique for different seasons/situations? Do you also adjust differently for home and outdoor use? What are your adjustments like? For me these seasonal/situational adjustments are a big thing, but I’ve never read a discussion about it.

I just notice it at the extremes, like in the winter sitting outside it longer for the TM2 to get up to temp and then I need to move it up a bit. I’ll try half a unit although for my extended sessions sharing with someone I bet it just pushes the experience more into the 2nd or 3rd hits. Something to look forward to in a couple months!

I only have to do this in extreme cold in Missouri. I was never able to get torched vapes to temperature in the cold, likely because we usually have a breeze with the cold.

I’ve never even thought about adjusting vape temp for the weather. It’s never been an issue. I strive to keep the indoors a comfortable temperature. If it’s too hot or too cold, I’m not outside vaping. Maybe it depends on where one lives, or if one has heat and air conditioning. I don’t have AC, but even if it’s hot my vapes work fine.

I vape mostly indoors, and I don’t change any temps due to the weather. I do however, close the window nearest my ball vapes because the breeze blowing on them makes them work hard to stay up to temps.
