I like the simplicity if the oem case. I like the magnet. Not crazy about the quality of the material.
this IG case looks really nice, but i am not crazy about the snaps. I will probably not order one. I feel if i am spending $100 on a case for anything, it needs to not have things in it i don’t particularly care for.
To my mind the ONLY redeeming quality of the cheesy OEM case is the magnet!
I like snaps on the Craft66 case, this allows easy removal and gives grip locations. $99 isn’t cheap but it’s a one time purchase and the vape after all is $600, so…
You would think a vendor(Tafee)upon release of a “premier” vape that’s $579 would show some pride in his product and offer a “premium” case not a $3 Temu looking thing to encase his “premium” vape?
Wasn’t the case just a throw-in for the early adopters? Do they even sell it? From their marketing, it doesn’t seem that they even anticipate people using a case.
All I know is that for a vape this expensive, a case is a must for me. One drop away from disaster. The boast of this vape is that it is portable. Portable means drops. Drops cause problems.
A case should always be an option for any device this expensive imo.
I actually like the case provided by Tafee but it will not hold up with long term use. Someone earlier posted a picture of a dropped Flaske with the oem case on. It protected the unit but tore a nice hole in the case.
I’ve got to believe a leather case will hold up much better longer term. The company should absolutely have a nice case for sale…but as long as there are 3rd party vendors, it’s all good.
Anyone consider their offshore ass’y cost / South America prior to putting in their 2cent ass’y for completion? Did anyone see their gross fee for US entry cost from where these were made? The information acquired points to a paltry margin for operating a ground floor company. An estimate 200.00 margin left to run R&D engineering, Services, misc overhead, & unforeseen loss in orange/tariffs, oh yeah profit to grow? I’m sure there is some other petty costs too :
Brother, they be running skinny, the product is fantastic and I surely could not afford a second one! Glad to have it…the ugly case does protect.
Dude I’ve read that first sentance like 5 times and for the life of me can’t understand ur point? Are you saying it(Flaske)was assembled in South America?
are you saying a Canadian manufacturer is operating on razor thin profits? Maybe, no way to know without cracking their books, highly unlikely.
I like their end product, they sold over half-million in USD for 888 initial units. Factor out tooling, labor, marketing, R&D and perhaps margins are thin??
My point is, even as a “free” premium they could have provided a case that one could be proud of. The case as it is exactly now, changing only to leather for the material, you got a winner! So instead of $3 maybe in bulk $10 a piece? Worth it to provide an aestheticly pleasing case to match a “premier” $579 vape.
I agree and that other message is a tad hard to digest visually.
There were better ways to handle the case at a similar cost, regardless of what that cost was and where it was produced. Even something like a canvas case would have been great and probably helped it shed heat better.
The case is fine enough but is similar to a cheap, minimalist phone case. Good for maybe one drop. Luckily I’m not prone to dropping my devices!
My issue was they said it was leather. It was misleading and I didn’t like that. If they said faux leather case I would have been happy, but what we got was not what we were told. And I’m still sore about the fit and finish and the scraping of the air path aluminum in the stem because of said fit and finish.
I don’t understand why this is something anyone would want to justify in defense.
Including it without telling anyone about it probably would have gone fine too. Same for not including it at all, since it was a preorder freebie. And to that point we are pre-ordering a brand new item without reviews or trusted input from others so we are incurring risk for better or worse and I think a “freebie” like a case is an appropriate “thank you for trusting us.” Store credit was nice too, but I never redeemed mine because store credit as a bonus is specifically designed to make you spend more money than you would have otherwise. I have no intention of giving them any more money since the competition is heating up in their categories unless they do something wow-worthy to turn my attention back. I’ve bought twice and had issues twice including an issue with customer service on the TB2 buy that made resolution so much harder and take so much longer than it needed to be.
It’s actually kinda annoying that the devices perform so well lol
I use the mouthpiece from the Dani Fusion with the three O-rings, and it works really well with the Tafée FLASKE. It’s longer than the original mouthpiece, fits nice and snug, and stays firmly in place. It does the job perfectly.
You can get it for $19 USD on the Battery-Free Ganz website:
Fyi an answer from tafee for those interested on stock availabiliry : Dear,
Thank you very much for your message and for your keen interest in Flaske.
We genuinely appreciate your enthusiasm and the thoughtful questions you have shared with us.
At this time, we do not have a confirmed date for Flaske availability through our European retail partners. We currently anticipate that additional units may become available sometime during the holiday season, although we are not yet able to provide a specific release date. Once availability is confirmed, our European retail partners will offer the units to their patrons.
We sincerely apologize for the delay in making Flaske more widely available in Europe. Flaske is currently produced in very small quantities, primarily to serve our existing community of patrons who already own Bowle, and this has naturally limited the quantities we are able to offer.
Any Flaske units made available for retail will be complete, fully functional assemblies designed to perform according to their specifications.
Our communications are primarily shared directly with the close-knit community of Tafée patrons who have signed up to receive updates, rather than through social media or traditional promotional channels. You can sign up for updates at the bottom of our homepage: https://www.tafee.com
Regarding future revisions, we continually listen to feedback from our patrons and use it to inform ongoing improvements to our wares. As subsequent production batches are developed, improvements or updates may be incorporated from time to time. Where notable updates are made available and are appropriate for existing Flaske owners, we will consider ways of making them available to our legacy patrons as well.
We are earnestly looking forward to offering Flaske more broadly to our European patrons and sincerely appreciate your patience, understanding, and continued interest in our work.
I feel as if, after about a month of use, that I am not getting as extensive flavor at lower settings (2), or efficient extraction by 3 or 4. Clouds yes, but flavor lasted one long slow drag at 2 and was gone, and, compared to either the far smaller bowl of my T2 or even a similar or smaller amount of flower in my TM2 (4-5, finish 6 or just thru 5)>tinymigh.t_bowl through my glass orb and whip. Both these other devices preserve flavor longer and give more bang for the bud than off my Flaske. Why? Too much relative air on the Flaske? Don’t use the airport on the T2 anymore, just open. I don’t get it. 4 on the Flaske is absolutely big clouds but flavor is a bust. Tried fresh herb starting on 3 but flavor didn’t last even first pull. Warm air pulled through herb should all be the same in these convection devices, no? I use on demand for the powered and an IH on the T2. Explain it to me like I am 4. I’m just scratching my head. Even my Crafty+ tasted better for longer, temp stepping up on session (so still cooking in between hits–I was walking the dog, so I didn’t want to F with pulling the dosing capsule in between, as I sometimes do). What. Is. Going. ON!? All input happily accepted as to an explanation. Oh, and almost forgot: I am a lightweight daily user, so no big tolerance issues, especially with the side by sides.
The Flaske like the TB2 has always provided that fluffier vapor, but if I’m reading right and the performance seems to be dipping you might reach out to their support. I believe a couple others had something similar happen early on but we never got an answer on what was wrong… they just shipped in for repair.
I think that “dipping” implies that its performance fell from better (it could just be semantics, I realize). I feel like it started out at the lower extraction from the get go. I will indeed contact them. It is very difficult to quantify as a support issue, I think. It feels too subjective. But, I will give it a go. It’s kinda weird; I’ve never had quite this experience so I’m a bit baffled.
As a side note on my post, I see you folded my post into the main device section. Thank you! I am tech savvy but could not for the life of me figure out how to make a new post into the proper section (I made the post on my iPhone and ran about trying find “new post” and failed.
Dah! Found it. Nevermind (about the Soviet Jewelry…).
