Happy to see this piece. Many times I though about buy the 50U$ 3mm titanium ball from vgoodiez but just couldn’t + shipping would be nearly 100box for it .
Now I predict that the extra heat from the balls probably will be mitigate and the vapour may be smoother too. I have placed my order too. My full titanium unit it is ready for this 2 pieces.
Ordered 4 cooling units to sand it to fit all my devices best buck for the bang.

I personally like how vape manufacturers copy and improve upon each other’s ideas. Gave us some of the best vapes around, e.g., Tempest 2, Frolic..

So what is the benefit to this over balls? Does it hold heat better, is it cleaner, or is there some other reason?

That’s for sure, I just think that this is far from fair. Besides, why is it never enough? Why do people have to keep poaching on other people’s territory? I’m a maker myself and this leaves a rather unlikable taste in my mouth. Maybe Brenyo sees things differently, since he doesn’t make his stuff himself. Buy I think copying ideas to outsource them to China is shit behavior.
Sorry for ranting. This just piss me off.

Then don’t buy one it’s pretty simple. I raised this concern with ball vapes 2 years ago and no one seemed to really give a shit so I stopped giving a shit about it lol. They all copy each other to some degree. Imagine if a click disk was enough to stop a product how many vapes would you have the option to choose? Then if we take the heat indicator off the table also thats another product, first one with balls can be the only one. Think that leaves you about 3-4 stick options. We could start with the Dynavap ccd and call that no good in any other product poof there goes the market

Austyn said something during his last stream and I’m not trying to speak for him, but in reference to the vortex, he noted that other imitations of it tried to essentially copy the design without the knowledge or science behind it.
So while this looks similar as what he developed, it could perform way different.

If any of these designs were novel they would have effective patents. When I got into vaping there was fallout over Dynavap and trying to silence competition and their patents. As we know now, none of them were enforceable.
We are heating material in pipes, everything that doesn’t involve circuit boards were likely patented in the 1800s.

I ordered two myself. If I prefer it to my current setup, my T2’s would be all set. If not, well, a spare or two. The price seems reasonable enough. I’m interested in just how they fit in the cap, screen or no screen, etc. I’d hate to replace fiery hot balls with a solid brick of fiery titanium if my screen technique fails me!
Fan of both MH & Simrell, and view them as very complementary in my use case, at least.

before simrells spiral, there were other spirals.
before there were balls, there was hot metal.
IMO the “heater core” is a step backwards.
It might be cheaper and easier or more convenient, but that’s it.
Every metal coin version of a ball vape i’ve tried has been less flavorful and less powerful than the balled version. The TKO with coins was worse. Adaptaball with coins is mids.
The only valid reason i’ve heard for the backwards move is “balls are hard” during disassembly. Seems valid. Perhaps it’s easier to tune a stick vape with a less optimal heater, too.

I think it’s a bit hyperbolic to say the intercooler idea was unique to simrell
It’s a small twisted bit of metal. I had a weed pipe in the 00’s that had a helix spiral similar to the revolve stem (agent blue pipe)
Both Mad Heaters and Simrell started making 3rd party dynvap parts, so there is going to be some cross over in the designs
I don’t think ill be getting one though as I’m happy with my current set up
