Tinymight black

I packed it loosely for air flow, and from there it was a guessing game how far to push the stem in. I err on the side of not pushing it in enough because I don’t want to compress the herbs. But the stem is surprisingly stable in this position. I expected it to lean and wobble more. I started out on temp 5 and got some really strong flavor without much terp burn. From there I bumped it up a couple times as the vapor waned. I ended on 7 and the herbs were fully spent and cooked all the way through. Surprisingly, I forgot to stir during this session. I think this is a great way to take down a bigger load solo or with friends, and it’s easier to load than fiddling with the stem.

Is there an option to use this loading with the older TM2’s? From the pictures it is not quite clear how it works. Thanks.

The collar may switch over (I’ll have to check), but they put an extra screen in the bottom of the oven to keep herbs from falling below.

I have one too and I think it’s okay, but the titanium capsules are terrible. I’ll make some myself as soon as I have time

Oooh, dice… and other cool creations!

That is, theoretically speaking, if you add another fine grid to the bottom of the old camera yourself, can you download it directly on the old version?

Purely theoretically — yes, you are absolutely right.

In newer versions of chambers (for example, for sublimation or vacuum deposition), manufacturers often simply add a fine mesh or a perforated plate so that small parts or powder don’t fall into the pumping port.

If you decide to “upgrade” an old chamber yourself, here are a few important points to consider:

  1. Material: The mesh must be made of stainless steel or tungsten (depending on the temperatures in the chamber) so that it doesn’t start outgassing or melting itself.

  2. Mesh Size: The openings must be smaller than the grain size of your material, but not so dense that they create “resistance” for the vacuum pump (otherwise, evacuation time will increase significantly).

  3. Mounting: It is better to avoid glue (it evaporates/outgasses in a vacuum). The mesh is usually held in place by a retaining ring or simply laid tightly into grooves.

So your line of reasoning is correct: if you eliminate the risk of material spilling into the pumping system, the old chamber will technically be very similar to the new one.

Would you like to search for the specific mesh parameters (material and micron size) that are typically used in the newer models for your specific application?

This is what I got to translate the top post…hope it helps.

Hello. Good to be here. I’d only just discovered FC, a couple of weeks before it went down.

Had to give a shout out to the TM2 (and my pairing with the Glass Charlie Shorty).

I owe this little device (and many of the community reviews) a lot. Having come in through Medical for the first time last June 2025, I was on the verge of giving up on vaping and going back to smoking.

That goodness I decided to give it one final go and shelled out what seemed then an outrageous sum of money. Haven’t looked back since. Sure I have spent probably more cash than I should on vapes, but I am now properly medicated and thats life changing.

Not so much looking forward to the direct packing. More the new cooling unit. It’ll go in my titanium stem on the purpleheart. Hopefully the other new parts fit as well. The larger capacity could be very nice for me

TM says VGEZ should have the new cooling units in the next few weeks as they are sending a shipment out this or next week.

that being said, as a cooling unit, how does it compare to the old nuts and bolts? For me, nothing cooled and smoothed the vapor quite as well as those but maintaining them to keep up the airflow sucked.

also considering dosing capsules for a trip, what are our thoughts on those?

Overall I think they work OK, I do turn up the heat a bit and leave it in session mode. I normally stem pack, but use the the capsules from time to time. If am out and about for the day and only want a couple of sessions. Or if I am in a place where I don’t want to have an open container full of weed out stinking up the place.

Does the Tinymight works good as a session vaporizer with moderate temps?

Yes. That’s mostly how I use it. Sessions from 5 to 8 on the dial

Thanks, then it can stay on my wish list. The black one looks soooo cool!

Will be interesting to see if this one is a worth it for me to update to this or the Black Walnut edition. Both look incredible but I would still wrap it in leather.

The Direct pack chamber in the black edition looks pretty cool

I sent my Purple Heart in for repair. They replaced all internals. I can’t tell whether they used standard tm2 internals or the upgraded purpleheart ones. If it’s the standard internals, it’s somewhat upsetting as I got the Purple Heart for the heart and button upgrade :frowning:

Can anyone shed some light on this?

Got me a Black Walnut TM2 to use as a big hitter. Some initial thoughts after a few bowls:

  • Wow this thing is incredibly beautiful! This is my favourite model visually and it looks gorgeous in person.
  • It’s been a long, long time since I’ve used a vape where there was a worry of combustion and I can immediately see the learning curve with this one. A mix of uneven colour and what felt like very sudden scorching in my first bowls but I’ve already gotten a little better. You definitely have to hit it harder than I’m used to, and I doubt I’ll be going above 7 very often if at all.
  • I’m starting off using S&B capsules because I would love if I could keep the convenience of using them for this as well as the Venty and currently it seems to be fine, certainly not an issue to have the mouthpiece sticking up a little more. If there are any good alternatives that fit in the stem but are still as lightweight as the S&B capsules please let me know!
  • It hits like a goddamn truck and I already have seen clouds like never before. As I’ve seen people say, it’s a generally punchier and stronger high than the smooth and manageable high I get from the Venty. I’m thinking this is what I would use for locking in to an album or movie, where the Venty is more of a casual thing for throughout the day or being around others.
  • Still not sure which I prefer out of the regular zirconia mouthpiece and the beaded glass one. The default one feels massive compared to the mouthpieces I usually use, but the cooling unit is nice and it felt great taking big hits through. Meanwhile the beaded glass stem feels more comfortable as far as where my lips go and of course glass + beads is a great reliable for cooling but for me it didn’t have the same “ohhhh shit” feeling as when you’re inhaling through the zirconia and can tell it’s gonna be a big one.

Great device and exactly what I was looking for it seems! Plus good to get used to devices that require a little more finesse with how you hit from them.

The dosing capsules of the HR rogue 2 have the same size as the tinymight ones for stem loading.

I do have a bunch of those, but I don’t really like em these days as the material/thickness affects the flavour a bit much. I think it’s worth a try though as I managed to forget while typing my last post that the S&B capsules do love to get stuck sideways in there no matter what I do lol. Thank you!
