Just got my first Ball vape a few weeks ago, and I’m running it on a tiny NWTN bong, and it works great, except I end up with a lot of scooby snacks in the bong. I was looking at ash catchers, but it seems they all hang off the side, which would unbalance the tiny bong. Are there any ash catchers that are vertical, or other tricks to keep plant material out of the bong?
Sneaky Pete has a nice selection of dry catchers. You might find one you enjoy.
I expect you’ll end up with some larger glass pieces eventually, but not everyone gets GAS and I wish you luck and joy on your journey.

That is already on the bowl, and my glass is getting chunks. I like the open airflow, but the big holes let crap through.
I have bigger glass, but prefer small glass with vapes.

I just got a Milky Way Circuitboard I/O that 16". Thought I’d get a wet ashcatcher for it. It’s good that it’s for that piece, because it tips most other pieces I’ve tried it on. I’d gone awhile without ashcatchers because of the tipping, then suddenly went wild for them a few weeks ago, so now they are back in use. J-hooks will be next because I can get rid of the glass piece…
There were Smojo screens that helped a great deal with the large holes. Unfortunately, the seller stopped selling so I can’t suggest them.
I’m not Wowbagger, but I got mine on the 420 sale and this is what was it in. I also have the 14 and 10mm versions which seem to be the same design. If it makes a difference, I’m using 14mm since my 18mm bongs are a lot bigger than my 71 year old lungs like.
I thought about looking for a screen, I think I have a few about that size, but I’m really enjoying the all glass vapor path. I think the right size screen would fit within the outer glass ridge, but between the bowl and the down stem, it would add metal. Not sure if I could taste the difference though. If I can’t find an ash catcher that works, I might try that.
Yeah, got mine from a regular sale, like Charles, but at RVS. That was in the box, so I assume it’s the final version?
Maybe it will work if you add some terp pearls or 4mm rubie or quartz balls in the post? So air will flow but you have additional barrier for reclaim parts. You would have a metal free air path with it. I’ll go through my equipment later, maybe I have some to test it.
Oo so is it possible to build a small rig with multiple ash catchers that are entirely vertical? Now we’re talking !
I did think about trying to rig up another offset to keep it centered, but every joint is another place to leak or break.
I use mesh screens in my bowls if I don’t want to use an ash catcher, seems to keep most boogers out.
