I love torch, stick, TED vapes or whatever we finally decide to call this style. 
I have all the Simrells, a Tempest 2, Tornado, Anvil, SS Stunner, QoQ, and several DynaVaps. I think they’re all good and each has its place, but for me this whole category is still above battery powered vapes when it comes to vapor quality and hit strength.
If I were going to recommend investing in one ecosystem, though, I’d probably say Simrell. One of the biggest reasons is the ecosystem and compatibility. IMO, it’s above everything else right now. Their lineup keeps expanding, while several of the other devices on my list have been pretty stagnant for a while. Simrell also seems committed to keeping everything modular, so you can keep adding or changing pieces instead of buying an entirely new vape.
The Simrell SS Assembly/Hydro is probably the easiest one to use with a torch. There really isn’t much of a learning curve point the torch at one of the dots and wait for the clicks. It’s great native on the Ti Vortex stem with either the regular Intercooler or the High Flow Intercooler. Both rip.
I use the SS Assembly mostly dry with the N3rdlock Sherlock because I honestly don’t feel like it needs water, although you certainly can run it through water. Some people describe the effects as more sedative, but I love the body high it gives me.
The Ti Assembly is my favorite in an IH. With the YLL 3.0 or the Wand, the hybrid heating gives a really nice combination of flavor and effects. I still think a torch gives the best overall hit, but I use my vapes outside probably 80% of the time, and seeing a torch flame in daylight can be a pain.
The Convection Assembly is another great option, especially when I have things to do. For me it gives much more of a head high, so I can still function while getting medicated.
For pure big rips through a bong, though, I still think the Tornado is above everything else. It just crushes through glass.
The Anvil is also extremely easy to heat, even with a torch. I’m just not a huge fan of the stem native. Put it on a smaller glass piece, though, and it absolutely rips.
The Tempest2 is easy to use as well and is primarily a convection experience to me. I actually think the SS Stunner can hit harder, but there’s definitely more of a learning curve. With a Blazer Spitfire, around 30 seconds of spinning can produce a huge, spicy hit. Once you get the technique down, the thing rips.
I still don’t own any Dani vapes. I’m not really sure why because I’ve wanted to try one for a while. A Convector XL V2 will probably be my next stick vape purchase, though. I’d like to add another dedicated convection stick to the collection.
That’s probably what I enjoy most about this whole category. They all approach heating and extraction a little differently, and even though I own plenty of battery powered vapes, these torch/IH-powered sticks still give me a level of vapor quality and punch that battery portables haven’t quite matched.
