Best TED for Use with a Stem

Thinking about my next vape (as usual). I got a pre loved M7, which I can’t try yet because I’ll need to take a test soon. This t-break has really gone too long

Anyway, I’m considering another TED. I find that I don’t really like to mess with water so I want something that’s good to run dry. At this point I don’t have an ih. I’ll probably get one at some point but for now whatever I get should work well with a torch. Ideally I’d be something that lets you get different effects with different heating methods. I’ve read that the relli does that well. Any others? My tolerance is obviously zero rn but I tend to be a ripper not a sipper. Taste isn’t my biggest priority because I don’t have the most discerning palate (though of course I also don’t want it to taste like shit). My experience to date is only on a Solo 3, which I love with a high flow cooling stem.

Cost isn’t really a big issue. It’ll just take me longer to save up for it out of my weed budget. Besides, I kinda went on a little buying spree during the first couple weeks of my tbreak so I’ll need some time to play with my other new toys. I’m fine waiting if the best choice is spendy.

Really glad this place is filled with lunatics who have a bazillion vapes so you can tell the rest of us what’s good. I hope to join you one day :joy:

One sentence stood out “different effects with different heating methods”.

That, in a stick form, is the TI Simrell.

It’s not cheap, but one of the reasons it’s my number one is that sentence.

Dynavap is going to lean conduction, Tempest and baller type are going to lean more convection. You can heat the bowl of the tempest to add conduction but it was built for convection..

Should I be looking at the Ti or the heritage?

Nvm. Looking at the hydro now. See the simrell thread for the answers to my relli questions.

I also need to wait for the early reviews on the mako. That might also fit my use case for a lot less money.

I have a Mako on order lol

Anything in the Simrell ecosystem has that flexibility.

the hydro and convection are just tuned for those a bit better (conduction in the hydro)

The TI is nicely in the middle. Stem is your choice. Caps you can swap out too.

are you talking about Stick Vapes?

Cloud Connoisseur Solaris

It’s not out yet so I can’t make any claims but this could be worth a look. I’m excited to try it in a month or two!

Either sticks or something like the hydro, S14 or Solaris that could be used dry with a Sherlock.

For sure. I’ve looked at that and it seems like a possibility. My VAS is not (yet) at the point of buying a new product sight unseen. But I’ll definitely be paying attention to the folks here posting about it!
