No I unplugged and plugged it back in a few times. It stays the same. It has a small clip to lock it in. Thanks for the suggestion though.
Edit: Just finally got a response from Entheos. They said they are still discussing with parts manufacturer on what it could be.
Entheos has decided to switch out my unit. It took awhile for them to come to that decision but Im happy with it. Love the unit glad they are standing behind it.
Im getting a “check atomizer” error, has anyone had this before? happened out of nowhere, first i got a “no liquid” screen and now it won’t let me even engage the heater anymore. My ohm always drop back down to 0 even if i try to manually turn them up. Very quickly i also had “short” flash up on my screen but my unit is still operational apart from the heater..
I think i had that happen once and was asked to tighten the heater screw a bit. It’s pretty easy to get to it, you just need to remove the housing iirc.
Hopefully that helps but you can reach out to entheos on Instagram and they are apparently sort of responsive there for support after kinda disappearing on here.
Anybody got coil burned? If so after how many uses? My one made 660 puffs and then totally stop work, I am currently very curious if I was the unlucky one or it meant to last this short.
i just took mine apart and it looks like my coil burned apart if thats what you mean. i think this is whats causing me the error…

flavor was still great when it still worked yesterday but looking at it closer its concerning. The coil is the only thing that doesn’t work tho, it still turns on fine even after taking it apart completely.

Would like to update this by saying that i contacted jamie via mail and he got back to me saying he will either replace my heatercoil or send me a working unit. Feels good to get taken care of!
Did he offer any ideas as to what happened?
I would guess that some oils over time got blown back through the screen and onto the heater, maybe even a few fine AVB particles. Easy to do even with normal use. (Edit: looking closely, I’m pretty sure that’s the cause of the surrounding discoloration, looks like a lot was being blown back through the screen)
One thing about a simple flat heater like that, anything clung to the surface will heat up hotter than the surrounding coil, and can cause the coil to overheat and ablate away in that section.
The same phenomenon can be seen on cooking coils, stove tops, ovens, etc, or with resistive heater packs in clothes dryers or furnaces. if any debris clings to one spot of the coil, that’s where the coil will fail.

The coil would have lost the ability to heat the moment that portion of the coil overheated and separated, I wouldn’t really expect any ill health effects or anything. It’s just been an open connection electrically, hence your atomizer error.

Coil is broken I’ve spoken to Jeromel and then he tells me he got no coils in stock he didn’t sent me any spare and if was ok on order them from a third party site.so I asked refund its been 2 months and a half since and still waiting on him.Tbh I am not happy with all the situation
My question is because I got really triggered how it last only freaking 2 weeks working properly then started playing up.I wonder if all the coils are burning or it was a unfortunate unit.Perform wise I was happy but last that short is just ridiculous

Regardless of Jeromel being the creator he has been nonexistent on this forum for months and not replied to my request for updates after working with me up until he and Jamie ceased partnership. Jamie seems to have parts and is at least active somewhere, so at this point I think you should divert your attention there for support.
(Unless those two are the same person which would present more questions and confusion. Despite the vape itself being amazing when dialed in this is messy for a company.)

those heater coil pics are quite the turnoff
I’ve had the Convex v2 for a couple months now and it has really become my favorite vape.
Main reasons for that are its compact size, quick heat up and flavor. It’s also really easy to clean.
Sure, when not taking it out of the house there are other big names that easily compete, like the Frolic eg… But taking real portability and ease of use into consideration it really is an awesome device.
Things I don’t like so much is that the circonia bowl doesn’t keep as clean or is not easy to keep clean as let’s say the Frolic’s hard anodized surface. But as said, really easy cleanable when doing regular maintenance cleaning.
Another thing which I would have liked would have been the switch to 21700 right away. It’s such a tiny difference in size and surely wouldn’t have hurt the concept.
Seeing the burned coils is definitely annoying,but as was written, seems easily fixable.
I don’t consider myself a heavy user but would like to see (working) coils of people who have had the device for longer and used it more intensively than I have.
Also, has anyone tried taking the heater section apart? I’ve had a little go once, as I wanted to see that peek part housing the coil, but backed away since it didn’t open (as easily?) the way I had expected after watching that manufactoring clip they posted.
Man, those coils look like shit! Are they glowing red when in use? This kind of degradation/oxidation looks very much like so.
