I can feel the button on mine too. The pull is noticeably different right away if the heater isn’t engaged, plus the hit counter changes to “NEUT” when the button is engaged.
Flavor is better, and vapor production is similar to, if not better than, the Bowle2 in my opinion. The zirconia mouthpiece is also much better than the silicone mouthpiece on the Bowle2.
There is definitely a learning curve with the interface and settings, but right now I have it dialed in perfectly for me. I also like that you’re not stuck with only five presets.
you are right, but I dont manage to read that without glasses and even with glasses after a bowl i would not be able to read it. I may be older than other though… The creen is quite small to be read by me. In any case… I can feel a haptic feedback could be cool, but I dont really miss it. The heater makes a small noise as many other like the TM2. so at home it is very easy to feel (to me) if the heater is engaged or not. Out of home, when I can not really hear the heater, once in a while the heater does not engage and therefore I take a pull and I notice I am not getting anything after 4 or 5 seconds… I guess it is a “no liquid” situation or similar. Cant tell cause there is no way to read the screen when inhaling (at least I cant). It does not bother me, it is really once in a while and I can feel it after a few secons… but I understand it could be an issue for others. all in all, I prefer smaller size than more features
I’m almost 60 and wear glasses can’t read a thing without them, and I can still see the text change just fine. I’d rather keep the unit small, especially since heat-up is basically instant anyway. Like I said above the feel of the pull to me is different if the heater doesn’t engage.
Hey @Entheos-Jero , i realized that my usb-c port stopped working on my convex 2.0
i tried multiple cables, walladapters and powerbanks but when i plug it in, nothing happens.
it works fine with charged batteries but i don’t always have a spare on me. Any idea what couldve caused that?
The Snowtree titanium screen is still rocking with my Convex 2.0. It increased airflow and added a relatively massive volume and takes 1.5-2 scoops from my .25g spoon to fill. It’s got the biggest bowl in my portable collection by a long shot now and also happens to be the best tasting portable save for my BAKx.
I really recommend giving these screens a try to anyone curious. The airflow is increased over stock screens as well.
@Entheos-Jero any updates on new unit availability or any new versions? Been a bit since we’ve heard anything and I regret not getting one for my buddy’s birthday gift while I had the chance (he got a custom glass piece instead).
I was reading back through this thread from the beginning and missed this, I think.
I think it was closer to compressed than packed for the bowl that combusted. I got overzealous and when I’d overfilled, I just said F it and made it fit because it wasn’t by too much.
In general, this benefits most from a medium tamper pack. It’s hard to describe relative pressure but let’s say just enough force to where you feel it stop giving. It pretty much has the same ABV results when full like that as it does when microdosing. I really think it’s an impressive little heater and airflow design.
In other news, I plan to use it tonight and, if I remember, will weigh how much fresh flower can fit since I’ve ever done that before but made claims it’s the biggest bowl I have for portable with the snowtree ti screen (not anymore, though… Solaris took that torch and ran like an olympian!).
I’ve been using my Convex 2 today and I tend to agree about the tamping. Firm but not compressed seems to work best, although I still get good taste with a loose pack, it’s just the vapor isn’t as dense.
I’m still really happy with this purchase. The flavor is consistently excellent as I hoped it would be because of the short vapor path and all the zirconia.
You do have to fiddle with it to dial it in but it’s worth it. It’s a great stealth vape with great taste and good battery life. Super easy to clean too.
Anyone got any advice on how to clean the inside of the metal stem where the vapor goes, right under the mouthpiece? The hole is tiny and I don’t know how to reach it.
You can remove the metal stem completely and use a pipe-cleaner with ISO. I think I pushed an alcohol wipe through it last time using a long pin I use for de-bowling.
Hmmm… Have you tried using a USB-A to USB-C cable with a powerbank or wall plug?
I ask this because I discovered the Convex won’t charge if the USB-C voltage is too high. Using a USB-A to USB-C cable guarantees the source voltage is 5V max.
Also, I don’t see any charging progress unless I click the fire button but I’m guessing you know this already.

This worked, i wasn’t aware of the voltage thing and assumed i might have fried the connector by using a crazy fastcharger or whatever.
USB-A to -C it is then, im happy to find out my device is still fully intact.

I got my unit yesterday, and they seem to have changed the design a little. Mine doesn’t have a clip near the metal stem, and the stem doesn’t slide up or down. At least it doesn’t appear to.
Edit: Nevermind. The clip was just difficult to remove
I’ve been having some of issues with my Convex2. Wouldn’t turn on finally got that to work by bending the battery contacts up. But now the screen is so dark I can barely see it unless Im in the dark. Its still on brightness 5. Entheos was being responsive on Instagram but then just stopped. Email contact hasn’t responded in a week. Pretty much unusable for me right now. First pic is what the screen used to look like bottom one how it looks now.
