Delta 3D Studios - Practical Vape Accessories, Maker Gear & Shop Talk

Hello everyone!

First off, a big thanks to the mods and everyone involved in creating a new home for the community. FuckCombustion was around for a long time, and for many of us it was more than just another forum. It was a place to learn, share ideas, compare setups, ask questions, troubleshoot problems, and help each other figure things out. For Delta 3D Studios, FC was especially important. It was not just a useful resource. It was really the catalyst that led to the business existing in the first place. A lot of the early ideas, feedback, requests, and conversations that helped shape Delta 3D Studios came from that community. Without FuckCombustion, Delta 3D Studios would not exist.

For anyone unfamiliar, Delta 3D Studios is a small maker-run shop focused on practical accessories for dry herb vaporizers and related setups. The general idea is simple: make useful gear that solves real problems, whether that means loading more cleanly, carrying things more safely, organizing dosing capsules, connecting to glass, protecting a device, or making a setup easier to use day to day.

The catalog includes things like slim cases, loading funnels, capsule organizers, loading trays, debowlers, waterpipe adapters, stands, custom parts, and other accessories that tend to come from actual user needs. A lot of products start from community requests, customer feedback, or one of those “there has to be a better way to do this” moments.

While 3D printing is a big part of the shop, Delta 3D Studios is not just a 3D printing service. Depending on the product, parts may be made using a mix of manufacturing methods, including 3D printing, CNC machining, injection molding, stainless steel fabrication, silicone casting, small-batch production, and collaborations with other makers.

Delta 3D Studios also does not only sell in-house products. We work with glassblowers, small shops, and independent makers to help bring useful niche products to a wider audience. Some items are designed and made by us, some are made in collaboration with other makers, and some are carefully selected because they fill a real need in the vaporizer accessory space.

That is a big part of what makes this fun. These are not generic, mass-market widgets pulled from the same overseas catalog. The goal is to build a collection of useful, small-batch, maker-driven accessories that actually serve this community. Sometimes that means a custom adapter. Sometimes it means a hand-blown glass piece. Sometimes it means a tiny loading tool that solves an annoying problem nobody else bothered to fix.

We are also constantly revising, testing, and tinkering. Sometimes that means improving durability, tightening up fit, changing materials, adjusting print settings, redesigning a hinge, refining a loading tray, or reworking a product after customer feedback. The goal is always to improve both the quality and functionality of the products we design and carry.

This thread will be used for:

:check_mark: New product announcements
:check_mark: Restock updates and shop news
:check_mark: Custom part ideas and compatibility questions
:check_mark: Behind-the-scenes notes from the shop
:check_mark: Design updates, material notes, and product revisions
:check_mark: Glass and small-maker collaboration updates
:check_mark: General questions, feedback, and suggestions from the community

We’ll also use this space to share some of the thinking behind new designs, what’s being tested, what worked, what didn’t, and what might be coming next.

And on that note, if there are other makers, glassblowers, or small businesses here making useful accessories for this space, feel free to reach out. We are always open to talking with people who are making interesting, functional gear that deserves to be seen by more of the community.

Glad to see a new forum getting started, and looking forward to being part of the conversation here!

If you have questions, suggestions, compatibility requests, product ideas, or even complaints, please feel free to post them. We’re all ears. Feedback from the community is a huge part of how these products improve over time.

I asked Mr. Delta 3D Studio for some projects… and it’s incredible… he’s incredible!

The attention to detail, the efficiency, the value for money, the quality…

And well… I’m actually asking him for something right now

Stoked to see you here! This industry has been blessed for years by Delta 3D making things for all of us on a small scale others won’t touch.

@Fangorn nice cases!

Does this glass “attache” exist, or is it a prototype?

I currently use a clear plastic box from Temu, cheap but very effective, holds numerous glass mouthpieces & drawtubes in a fairly thin formfactor! When done it has two snap closures and can be stored vertical or horizontal like a book. The glass is held somewhat so there is no “falling” inside the case, the case is clear plastic so that’s nice.

this case, as pictured looks effective as well. Is it available or again a prototype?

That was a custom order designed to fit in my standard DeltaVault DV1 sized rugged case. The standard DeltaVault DV1 contains a foam pick-n-pluck base with a humidinook lid insert. However if you message me on the website and send me some photos/measurements of your stems, I can design a custom DV1 insert to fit your stems (for a nominal design fee plus printing costs).

Hey all!

Figured I’d drop a follow-up post here to bring everyone up to speed since FC went offline. Some of this may have shown up on social media, emails, or quietly on the site, but I wanted to consolidate the bigger updates in one place.

I’m not trying to rehash everything from the old threads, but forgive me if I repeat a few things. It’s surprisingly hard to remember exactly what was covered before everything disappeared.

One of the bigger ongoing changes is that I’m continuing to expand the storefront beyond just Delta 3D Studios-made products. The goal is to build more of a curated collection of useful vape accessories, small-maker gear, glass, custom parts, and oddball widgets that actually serve this community.

With shipping costs getting ridiculous, it also makes sense to bring more of these things together in one place when possible. Plus, I genuinely enjoy supporting other makers and small businesses trying to survive in this weird little industry full of regulations, payment headaches, platform restrictions, and all the other fun stuff nobody warns you about. :slightly_smiling_face:

Right now, the shop has inventory from three glassblowers: JoDa Glass, High Artisan, and MWC Glass. I’ve recently restocked and added some new pieces, so there’s quite a bit more variety than there was a while back.

I’m especially excited about the VertiTube inline vertical waterpipes from MWC Glass. These are heavy, well-made pieces with quality glass, and I currently have them marked down while I test interest and make room for future glass inventory. I’d love to keep bringing in more from MWC, so hopefully these find the right homes.

(And on that note, if you know any up-and-coming glassblowers, accessory makers, or small businesses in this space looking for a good home for their products, feel free to send them my way.)

On the product side, the DeltaVault line has also been expanding.

I recently published two new inserts for the tiny DeltaVault DV0: one for POTV Lobo dosing capsules, and another for Tafée Bowle ceramic pots. I’m still taking custom insert requests when possible as well.

As usual, the DeltaVault cases include a flexible rubber seal and the HumidiNook lid insert, which is designed to hold a thin 2-way moisture control packet to help maintain moisture inside the case. I also have a new slim case for the Firewood 11 up on the site, and I’m finalizing a new oversized case for the POTV Lobo.

There’s also a new modular organization system in the works. I don’t have much more to share just yet, but I’m pretty stoked about it. This is one of those projects I’ve been tinkering with, shelving, revisiting, and rethinking for years. A few months ago I finally had the “ah-ha” moment that made it all click, so hopefully I’ll have more to show soon. :eyes:

As always, I’m constantly iterating and designing new products. If you don’t see something on the website, feel free to ask. I’m usually happy to at least look into it.

And if something doesn’t fit or function the way it should, please let me know. I’m constantly tweaking dimensions, tolerances, materials, and designs to improve both quality and usability. The Tafée PotVault is a good example: I had a few reports that the lid was too loose, so I went through several iterations before landing on a flexible friction-fit seal that worked better (and it’s easy to replace bands if you want a tighter/looser lid fit)

Another big update: nylon parts are back!

For the second time in about six years, I lost access to both my industrial nylon and metal 3D printing partners, which was a major headache. The good news is that I now have access to an industrial nylon printing partner again, so my nylon scoop tools are back in stock. Even better with improved print quality and lower pricing than before.

The bad news is that I’m still searching for an affordable metal 3D printing partner. The industry is heavily focused on aerospace, medical, and other high-dollar applications, so the quotes I’m getting are often way out of range for small vaporizer accessories. There’s just no way I want to charge $150+ for a simple scoop tool! At this point I’m only half joking when I say paying for metal 3D printing is getting so expensive that I’m tempted to invest in a small metal 3D printer myself so I can start printing stainless steel in-house.

A couple quick shop reminders:

The email newsletter is finally active! I promise I hate spam just as much as you do. The plan is more like one or two short useful emails a month with new products, restocks, limited runs, small-batch glass, occasional sales, and sometimes email-only offers.

Don’t forget last year I implemented a rewards program! And since we’re awesome, we are offering retroactive points for every dollar you spent on the website over the past decade. You can also earn points through referrals, surveys, and occasionally from random things like us spotting Delta 3D Studios gear in social media posts or out in the wild.

Lastly, I’ve resumed the store blog. From time to time I’ll be posting longer-form guides, beginner info, compatibility notes, care tips, and other educational content related to dry herb vaporizers and accessories. The goal is to make helpful information easier to find instead of letting it disappear into old forum threads.

Phew. That was still a lot :face_with_bags_under_eyes:

Thanks for reading, and thanks again for all the support over the years. Questions, suggestions, product ideas, compatibility requests, complaints, weird ideas, or “why on earth did you design it that way?” comments are always welcome.

I’m all ears.

If you are taking product requests… I would love a storage container that replaces the cup on the TB2. Something to hold a grinder and some flower, yet still allow me to see the lights if not charge the device with the attachment on the device. Or even an airtight pot holder for prefilled pots.

Thanks for the suggestion! I actually already make a Tafée Bowle2 pot holder called the Tafée Potvault which has been pretty popular. This is a replacement base for the glass designed to hold seven pots. There’s even an optional attachment for loading seven pots at a time. Of course if you’d like to see the potvault customized to hold a grinder or extra storage compartment, I can certainly try and revise the existing design to meet your needs

Nice! I haven’t been on your site in a while, but missed that last time I was there.
