My first instinct was an analogue or stick vape… until I realized that eventually the butane runs out too and I don’t know how to make it lol
That sent me down a rabbit hole. Has anyone ever built a truly off-grid dry herb vape? Something that could be heated over a campfire, with an open flame, or by some other renewable heat source? Or even a portable that could realistically be charged from a small solar panel?
I’m genuinely curious if anything like that exists, or if every vape eventually depends on modern infrastructure.
I think I would bring a dynavap as lots of options there once you get a flame involved. But really if you have already a solar panel charger and battery, which you probably would or could find, then the next question is all about power efficiency. What vape is most efficient but still satisfying? Not sure the answer to this, but that becomes the question…
I think fresh flower, or any sort of flower will probably hard to find in this situation as well, so I would want to microdose and be as efficient as possible so my definite go to would be the Simrell Ti.
I have a beautiful one with Purple Heart wood and I am consistently blown away about how rocked it can get me off such a little amount of flower
This is awesome and also means that I can vape on non-sunny days!! lol… I have to admit, I giggled way too much at the beginning at the action required to get the vape up to temp
With a stainless steel or cast iron pan, if you use the Leidenfrost test with a drop of water, you know the pan is around 400-450 degrees F, then maybe you can put a stick vape with a flat end standing up on the pan to heat it up. A CXL would probably work pretty well this way. Maybe you could heat the cap with the bowl/stem off and then press the bowl into the cap and lift up the whole thing and hit it.
