Shoutout to the Smoke Trap+ for becoming part of my permanent travel setup
I started using one for hotel stays and honestly it’s been great for keeping sessions discreet without needing to leave the room all the time. Especially nice after a long day when you just want to relax and not stand outside in a parking lot somewhere.
The replaceable filters are easy to find, it’s simple to clean, and it works really well with dry herb vapes in my experience.
Got me wondering what everyone else does while travelling though. Do you guys use smoke filters/sploofs, stick to carts, only vape outdoors, or just risk it and hope for the best? Has anyone had any bad experiences well using their vape in a hotel room?
I have never actually booked an Airbnb before and I have always just stuck to hotels. Probably because I am hooked on getting points lol. I think I might look into booking an Airbnb for my next trip though so thanks for the idea!
I have become a fan of the sploof style carbon filter for a while. I use them all the time though, not just while traveling. Helps keep the funk down from my nearly 24/7 vaping. lol
I’ve never had a problem vaping in a hotel anywhere. crack a window if i can, but even if it doesn’t have one, no problems. when i stayed with troy and we were going heavy, we covered up the smoke detectors.
I have to be more cautious when I’m travelling for work because I don’t want the company credit card getting billed $500 for vaping in a room so I’m usually overly cautious. When I travel personally, I don’t give a shit at all lol
I believe you guys covered the smoke detectors when you were in Vegas for Champs, correct? I remember watching the live streams with five or six ball vapes on the hotel room table haha… What did you guys use to cover them with, as I may try this approach as well?
shower caps are great for covering the smoke detectors. add some rubber bands to help keep them tight
i’ve used smoke buddy in the past, as well as whole-room filtration devices. The blow-through devices work great as long as the vape isn’t leaking vapor while not inhaling
Have you ever had a smoke alarm go off in a motel room while vaping? If so, what do they do? (Other than go beep beep beep lol) Does the fire department show up?
A shower cap is a great idea, and not something I need to remember to pack. I just hope that it’s in my room because I will get a wicked side eye from the hotel staff if I ask for one due to the fact that I shave my head completely bald haha… “Uhhh, hi…ummm… I’d like a shower cap please”
