Curious to know since I haven’t dabbed, but will soon, if people preferably dabs over flower in general?
I know dabs can get you higher, but take that off the table I guess, do you prefer them for other reasons?
Better flavor? Easier storing, preparing, and cleaning?
Some other convenience factor?
Genuinely curious to know.

flower higher however there is technique to achieve. Smaller clouds more inhales
I was mostly flower for the past 5-6 years but over the last two the dab rate has increased dramatically to about 40% of what I do now.
Dabs easily increase my tolerance. The rigs look pretty hard core to most viewers.
T-Wax - I find it’s a lot easier on the throat and lungs. Low temp, high terp T-Wax hits
I like the effects of flower better. I do like to add a small dab of concentrate to a ball vape bowl occasionally however.
I haven’t tried a dabbed flower bowl in my ball vape yet. I will need to try that the next opportunity I get to end my night.
I usually keep it even, I usually will do 3-5 .2g ball vape hits, and mix in 3-5 dabs through out a day. I do small dabs and haven’t seen my tolerance go up to much but I use cannabis for medical reasons. If my back is spasming or I am really worked up 1 small just barely enough for the head of a dab tool is what I take and it is way more instant. Also where I am at there are at least good enough taste wise but a very effective high cbd distallate company I love the critical mass for dabbing. I am also playing with mixing in cbd isolate but that is easier for cold starts load a bit of the isolate a bit of some live resin or something for some flavor.
Now to answer some of your questions:

Flavor, it is better than bland weed good rosin or live resin is closer to candy or syrup super concentrated flavor wise, I like it alot. I don’t mind live resin and it delivers great flavor at fraction of the price and some strains a lot actually are not suited very well to rosin production and more terpenes are preserved via hydrocarbon extraction vs ice water rosin that is pressed. Resin vs Rosin = Pringles(resin) vs organic chips from a farmers market(rosin)
Resin can also be manipulated through a column system to hide a bad batch.
Storing they smell less but have a unique odor, it has been harder for me atleast to keep it as fresh as my flower.
Cleaning is entirely setup based. A bucket that you can use with some ball vapes a little bit of iso and few q tips per dab. I prefer Slurpers and Towers now and those need a dunk and more cooling time and have more stuff usually marbles pillars to clean. I use a french press some people will buy the barber dunk jars and put iso in and dunk after every dab. I do have a Slurper Shower on the way curious to see how that works, it is a aquarium pump that pumps the iso through the banger via a 14mm joint in the device. E rigs like the Puffco stuff are easy just 1 or 2 q tips and you are good to go cleaning wise.
Covnience: With my Puffco New Peak out and around the house it like I need my tool I need dabs I need q tips. Because if you don’t clean while it is warm you will have a way harder time.
I do find it funny that dab rigs are seen as so hardcore when the most mild form past edibles and stuff is AIO vape pens; which are close to a dab like a .2g bad pre roll version but still a version of a dab.
Got a D-Nail Universal Torchless Heating System coming, will report back on how it is but I have heard great things.
Both suit me fine.
If I have dabs pressed, I use them. Going to get my dab press out today and press some for the holiday (July4)and 710. Tolerance isn’t an issue, so I’ll just use them to play with different dab tools and toys. People have been mentioning the RIO, so it’s on my mind and I’ll play with that. I’ve got a few tops for my Puffco Peak that I haven’t tried yet, so it’s on the roster. My Zenco is charged, so I’ll use that, and I will use Old Head’s Dab- Ready.
Flower for every day, all day.

I make a canna salve that packs a punch. Perfect for joint pain, back pain, before sleep, or just to topically get high.
I make canna sugar. It’s fun to put in coffee and tea. Today I’m firing up the Cotton Candy machine and going to spin cotton candy out of canna sugar. It dissolves instantly in the mouth, and the high is fast. Bam! Not like an edibles that take over an hour to kick in. With Cotton Candy the party starts the second it dissolves in your mouth.
I’ve made canna flour for baking, but it was so strong I had a white out. Edibles aren’t my favorite. Still, knowing how to make canna butter, canna flour, canna sugar, for baking is useful because other people enjoy edibles.

95% flower these days. 7 ish years ago, with a torch and a banger, I rang the bell. For 4 hours I just sat there and thought… WOW … that one took me back to the 70’s 
Almost three years after my illness, still just use flower. It works. TBH, over a gram a day though. Tried hash but it was just messy. Unsure if carts are same as dabs, but not knowing what’s in that liquid bothered me and they all leak anyways. Flower is natural and it works. 
Yesterday I refrained due to cooking and fireworks duty - threw away most of a really good Waygu burger. Hungry later though…

Easy peasy.
Decarb flower. I use my Ardent FX (Decarboxilator) for this, but you can use your preferred method.
You will want a high proof alcohol, such as Everclear, if available. If you can’t get Everclear, just use vodka. I can’t get Everclear where I am, and vodka works just fine.
Add decarbed flower to vodka in a jar. Put jar in freezer. Infuse. 24 hours should be fine. Remove from freezer. Strain through fine mesh strainer, preferably lined with cheese cloth to capture the soggy, decarbed flower.
Get a bowl and dump in sugar. Pour infused vodka onto sugar. Try for texture of wet sand. Add more sugar as needed.
Spread onto a cookie sheet with sides in a thin layer. You are now going to dry this. Do Not put in oven. Do Not attempt to dry in oven. Sugar and booze are flammable. We aren’t going for that. Fuck Combustion. Do Not Dry In Oven! You want to put cookie sheet into a room, closet, garage, etc., where there is airflow. You want the sugar to dry. This can take days to a week, but you don’t need to do anything but check on it once in awhile to make sure you have ventilation. You have wet sugar, you want dry sugar. You have flammable sugar that you want to dry slowly.
Once dry, dump in blender or food processor to break up. Put in jar with lid. Use as needed. This will last for years and remain potent if kept dry.
So,
Decarb flower. Add to jar of vodka. Put in freezer. 24 hours later, strain and add to sugar to get consistency of wet sand. Put on cookie sheet with rimmed edges. Dry. Break up. Jar. Use.

I keep both on hand, but prefer flower most of the time. I only dab every couple weeks or so usually, when my throat / lungs are bothering me or I want a change of pace.
I like what nature provides me, only flower
I changed my opinion on flower completely in the last few years. I know lots of people will disagree, but to me flower is not a consumable product anymore. My lungs clearly tell me that it does not like the plant fats and lipids in the vapor. As a long time user the main reason to switch to concentrates is the idea to put only the active ingredients in my lungs.
I also really like the clean taste (if done right), the fast delivery and thickness of the vapor.
I like to enjoy flower, and sometimes I go one step further and squish the flower to get rosin. It only takes a few minutes, and I can either vape or infuse the remaining flower puck. Last night, I pressed Super Wreck and Strawberry Blonde, then tossed the pucks into some vodka and put in the freezer. In a few minutes I’ll strain the vodka and use the tincture to make canna sugar. The just pressed rosin is jarred and ready to use. I try to use as much of the flower as I can, in as many ways as I can.
