Ex-smoker here, hash-only vaper (no flower at all), and I’m still chasing that one thing I lost when I quit joints the slow 15-20 minute session. The kind where you sit on the porch, sip a coffee, pass it around with a friend, and just exist for a while.
My current lineup isn’t cutting it for this specific vibe. I love my Vapman for flavor but it’s too personal and manual for group use. The Lotus is dope when it’s just me, but my friends torch everything without the right technique, not really passable. The Volcano is my home cannon and it’s perfect for what it is, but that’s exactly the point it stays home.
What I’m looking for is a portable sipper, not a ripper. Something I can pack with hash using liquid pads, hand to a friend without giving them a five-minute tutorial, and enjoy slowly for a full 15-20 minutes. I want that chest thump and consistent clouds, just stretched over a long session rather than one massive hit and done.
Is the Mighty+ actually the right call for pure hash long sessions? Or is the Venty worth the extra money for this specific use case? I’ve heard technique matters a lot, low temp, slow ramp up, but I want to know if there’s something I’m completely sleeping on that handles hash-only, group, slow ritual better than S&B’s portables.
Hash lovers who’ve been through this, what’s your setup?
The BakX probably is one of the nicest devices for hash. It’s pricy but if you’re after the best you could make a strong argument for the BakX
I think the Solo3 is a nice poor-man’s device for hash and it uses the same glass-tube-heated-on-the-outside principle as the BakX. I’ve used it with vape wool and hash and it’s effective.
I never use hash, so I ask, would something like the IQ3 work well with hash? Because it kinda nails his other talking points…big bowl, one pack for the day, easy to share.
If I use concentrates in a dry erb vape I put a layer of erb down first. I either put a piece of hash on top or make a hash sandwich. Venty is definitely better for a little hash session Sandwich. But what I usually do is have the Venti for flour and if any of them wants to rip some concentrate, I just use my pivot. I’d like to get a Dr. DABBER 2 though.

The Dr. Dabber Switch 2 with Ti bucket is the best thing I’ve used for bubble hash. Even low grade cleans up easily. I’ve never tried to do anything but smaller one or two hit loads. I usually pass it around and give everyone a fresh pack.
Nah. It would need much more power. Also that monster chamber + full conduction is not a good combination unless you have a reductor chamber…a big one in that case.
@nn-dimetiltriptamita if you are talking about hashish I would recommend a Nectar Hex with its concentrate capsule (which reduces the chamber a lot) or the legacy pro 2/core with capsules. You can use both at 220-240.
If you are talking about hash as concentrates, you would be better with a concentrate vape as the yocan pocket, puffco pivot, etc…
The bakx is excellent, but it is a ripper, and if you want a sipper there is no reason to buy a very expensive vape with a hard-to-pick buying method. (And, if you want to try that system before decide, you can get a rocket in case you live in EU or the terpcycle in case you live in USA. Or a vaponic).
Not exactly what you ask for but for traditional Moroccan Hash or Dry Sift I reach, beside the Vapman, for an Arizer Vape and fix the crushed Hash with Cotton Wool in the Stem. Perfect for sipping, but rarely for a >5min Session I think.
For Solo use its best for me with 20sec/212°C and it will last for about 2-3 Sessions for me.
