I think I've become allergic to the plant. Is there hope for future use, or is it a life sentence?

I’ve been dealing with shortness of breath, wheezing, and constant coughing when trying to medicate. I am at the point that the coughing and wheezing is keeping me from being able to achieve relief. I got a chest X-Ray months ago, and all showed up clear as day, no issues whatsoever. I took a week off of THC and all of my lung issues cleared up. Then, with a single hit of vaping concentrates with a clean and sanitized Switch 2, my lungs began to constrict and the wheezing returned. I can take 3 months off and try again, but what are others experiencing and what chances are there this is only temporary versus being a permanent issue? Because if this is not going away, boy do I have a heck of a lot of glass, quartz and ruby to offload.

Is it only happening with Concentrates..have you tried vaping with Flower only?..I remember my lungs gave me heck when I was doing concentrates but with herb I was ok..anyway, I’m sorry to hear that man.

Unfortunately, it started with flower and now even concentrates cause the issue. Edibles do nothing for me, nor to any of the topicals I’ve tried. The Dr. is who told me it must be an allergy and the only option is to stop use. What a world.

How big of a hit are we talking?

For concentrates, just under a grain of rice.

Oh man, I’m so sorry  I’ve developed some mild allergic symptoms to flower but they’re pretty rare and only when I’m handling it, not when partaking. That’s such a nightmare

brother, so sorry to hear you’re still struggling with this :frowning:

You could try separating terps and thc to see if its one or the other that is causing the irritation.

Decarb your weed and vape it to see if the irritation is the same. It won’t taste great, and the effects will be more sedative, but maybe it won’t cause the inflamation.
