Am I a vapegeek or do you all do the same? When I have a new vaporizer I always search for the best temp where I have the best taste, the best vapor and the best match for my vaping style. It can take me a long time with first bigger later minor temps adjustments until I have what I am looking for. Even one degree makes a difference. The Arizer Solo 3v2 took me a long time to find my sweet spot. Finally today I had that moment I felt that’s it. I am glad because it was hard, I had to do lots of testing
The sweet spots of my vaporizers
Crafty & Mighty 185°C - 365°F (the only ones I use 2 temps, only to finish 198°C - 389°F)
I settled on 195c as my favorite solo 3 temp but I only went up/down by fives because I like the orderliness of the numbers (I’m a geek in more ways than one). I’ll have to try bumping it down a few and see if I can tell the difference
I mainly use my Battery driven Devices in two short (about 3 pulls) Sessions with roughly 165°C and 180°C. Just because I hate coughing and that way I can distribute the sharp ans bitey terpenes over some more pulls and kind of dilute them in more Air.
More than that I dump my only half spent bowls without thinking about it. (“…this was Gold where I come from” ). Do not like the taste with higher Temperatures.
But it’s an other Situation with high caloric Vapes that I use mainly on Water. I got the feeling that sharp and harsh Vapor is more rounded and I tend to use only half of the filling of a Battery Device killed in one Session with two puffs.
This means TM2 about “3”, T2 about 1.5, DigiTI2 320°C, TI1 about “6”.

May be another way for me would be a single Sweet Spot Temperature and an adjusted draw behaviour but momentarily that did not work well. Greediness and habits kick in…
My temps are a bit higher because I want to keep the draws shorter. That’s what I love about vaporizers, everybody has its own way, so easy to adapt to the style that feels comfortable to you
I tend to pick the temp by the flower I am vaping. I usually start at 356F and go from there. Some strains taste better at 346F or lower and some tastes better starting at higher temps.
@Sabina I finally tried my solo 3 at 198c, like you suggested months ago. I think you found the sweet spot for this vape! Just moving it up 3 degrees from my customary 195 gave me better vapor and I actually like the tiny bit of irritation it gives me in the back of my throat. It’s not painful and doesn’t trigger my cough reflex, but it lets me optimize my draw rate for the best extraction.
I went lower for a while because one time I almost combusted. Now I am back at 198c because indeed it feels like the sweet spot. I am only more careful now about the way I load the stem. I understand what you are saying, it’s spot on.
