I am gonna buy an induction heater. I know about the B-FG Flare, the Ispire Wand and the YLLVAPE 3.0, but are there others I should consider? Using it with a Dynavap Helix and an armored cap and I tend to be a sipper rather than a ripper.

I can only speak for the Wand and it’s been really good to me. Very durable and the battery lasts really long. It’s perfect for dynavaps. I hear the YLL is really nice, plus it’s programmable so you can write down your favorite settings for a repeatable hit using different power levels.
The Wand is more primitive. When I use the Wand, it flashes while heating so most people count flashes to remember heating times. There’s a “temperature” setting but temperature is just accomplished by the Wand using a timer to cut off the induction after the required time for that temperature.
I also like how you can move something like a dynavap through the Wand’s field and direct the induction anywhere you want along the length of it. You could heat from the tip of the cap all the way to beneath the bowl if you like for different effects. It works well for vapes like the Tornado too where you can direct heat to just the atomizer section for example that is far below the bowl.
Lastly, I like the Wand because it makes it easy to draw while you’re actively heating. Sort of like re-lighting a cigar. It’s really nice to taste all the flavors while your dynavap is heating up again instead of just waiting for a click. Again, the YLL is really nice but its design doesn’t allow for things like this. I guess you could pick up the YLL and put it close to your face while drawing… but that would look a lot more weird than the Wand

I will use the heater primarily for smoking hash through water so I like that the wand seems more portable than the others. I can fill and mount the Dynavap on my water piece and move the wand around it while heating.

I have all three so it will depend on the Vapes you’re using.
The YLL and the BFG Flare are great at going beyond what the wand can deliver. The wand just has a timer (even though it shows in temp) and the output power is locked in place.
It’s great for being portable, as I often slide it in a little pencil case or something, and it works well for the Hit as you heat style, especially with something like the VongX on glass.
It works well with everything up to the Tempest 2/Tornado.
Flare and YLL are similar, with the Flare being able to go to 120w and the YLL capped at 100w.
The YLL can run plugged in and It does better for me that way, but it’s definitely not the recommended way to use it.
The Vapes I will use with these are the BFG Punch and Dani Fusion, The Tempest 2, Tornado, Hydro, and the THC Cap for the HyperDyn.
The Wand I tend to use with the Dynavaps (not that the other 2 can’t) and it works really well the the Simrell Titanium.
There’s also the Vestratto Forge if you want to power your Vapes with batteries from Power Tools, but that beast is expensive.

I can only talk about The Wand.
I use it with a Tempest 2 and a Tornado and they both perform flawlessly with the Wand.
Very easy to use and there is nothing you need to program in regards to settings etc…
5 Clicks to turn it on, set your temp, insert vape and double click to start the cycle.
Then you have two options:
1- Remove your vape once the light turns solid
2- Leave vape inserted until the Wand times out.
I use #1 for my Tornado as it does not require a very long heat soak due to not having much mass.
I use #2 for my tempest 2 as the extra heating really loads the mass with heat, being much heavier than the Tornado.
As a basic IH, it’s great!
Just remember your device temps and length of time after the light goes solid and you will be good!
Probably not the right place for this discussion but I find I get a more roasted Dynavap experience with an IH (using the wand) than with a torch. I suspect the IG is overcooking the herb in contact with the sidewalls as the IH directly heats this while the torch applies heat just to the outside. I do like being able to sip a bit as it heat up but overall I get a less even roast and if I sip a lot then it exasperates this and I have ended up combusting a bit even when stopping at the click. I imagine a stick ball vape would not have this issue as the heat is held above the herb, but with the dynvap not so much. My very best roast in a dyn remains the copper FMJ and a torch on the M1 2021 (I think). Would love to really be able to dial in the M7 with the wand. Thoughts?
Rather than give a testimonial for a specific IH, I will cheerlead for their use. My “WPA stable” includes a rotation of the Camouflet XL (20s-25s), Tempest 2 (30s-35s), Camouflet V2 (15s-20s), and the Dani Punch 2 (25s-30s). All of them completely rock and are just mood dependent.
I use time (shown) rather than listening for clicks and have a label maker to put time reminders on the back of the IH. This promotes flexible sessions by allowing me to “go in fast” to get the terps if I want, and then “go in hot” for the coup de gras.
