The POTV Lobo, is possibly the best beginner and daily driver vaporizer out there, portable or not.
When combined with the dosing capsules (also available from POTV) or dabs and good glass, there’s almost nothing this little box can’t do.
Whether it’s desktop use with a Cube, sipping on the porch with a Gordito mini, or something in the middle, like passing it around with a trusty bong, it’s pretty easy to dial in settings that will get you where you want to go.
I certainly admire my green version, gave it daily use for a year. It never failed, though Gordito ran water through it twice. It’s still in use, but don’t go through the capsule routine anymore. Doing the Frolic and stems thing currently.
I’ll always be biased to the Lobo because the routine of it is the main appeal. My wife and I can do less than an hour of prep and be set up for both our individual Lobo and our tabletop for at least two weeks.
Granted, that’s a lot of Dosing capsules, but I enjoy the readiness and consistency of it all.
I’m typically pretty happy at 400F for sipping or bubbler use, but I am thinking about experimenting. What was your ritual?
I had a dozen, lol 13, to start with. Some pairs needed a needlenose to open. I’d soak them in isopropyl once a week.
At one time I’d give each capsule two burns, one at 380 then another at 420 just to check. Later just one at 400. Solid machine, just liking Frolic’s battery and 16mm cooling stems better.
Picked one up for my wife about a year ago and she really enjoys using it!
She still loves to smoke though…
So far it’s been super reliable and consistent and a battery lasts her quite a few sessions.
I love it’s form factor and that it has some weight to it.
I am not a fan of the conduction aspect as it tastes like vapes from 10+ years ago, Wife loves the flavor though!
Easy to clean and using the dosing caps, there is virtually no maintenance except for keeping the stem and screen clean. The dosing caps always empty out nice and cleanly!
Jerry mentioned in a POTV video the secret of the Lobo - if you’re only using the capsules, you can simply pop out the screen, as you have no use for it.
Cuts the cleaning by more than 50%, in my opinion.
I had my eye on the Lobo but I ended going with the Rogue. While I’m pretty happy with it and my Venty and Simrell Ti. They’re all out and I use all. The Rogue gets used less. Looking back i probably should have went with the Lobo. So I may just pick one up this year. Potv is a great company
I’ve just tried regular stems and I use at a lower temp. I’m going to pick up a stem with balls and raise the temp. Thanks for the idea. While in my rotation it was used the least. Ty
Mine is green. Green is my favorite color, so I went with green.
Haven’t used dosing caps with it, but have a bunch around. I really do want to like them, so I might try again.
