Haven’t seen this mentioned anywhere yet, but the cap to bowl threading is absolutely amazing on the new XL. Much easier to match up.
Received mine today and test flights have met my expectations after watching the preview stream. Build is as expected from the maker, clean, polished, packaged (nice case), and ready to go.
I’ll be surely looking forward to a dedicated IH, but for the foreseeable future I have no qualms using my torch. Big loud clicks, up and down.

For those of you who have it showing up already, when did you order? I placed mine near the end of the day on the 11th and was hoping to have it for my trip at the end of next week but no order updates yet.
I was feeling all badass today running a normal hydro on a lotus j-hook which made it quite spicy and here he is running this monster on hardly more glass/cooling…
Hydro XL looks great btw although I currently don’t have the use case.
More should be shipping out today and Monday. The majority of the orders came within like the first hour or so.

I ordered mine day one, halfway Thursday morning. Got a mail 5 hours ago that it has been shipped. So yours maybe Monday if you didn’t receive that email?

Yeah probably. So they don’t ship on Thursdays and Fridays I’m guessing?
Hopefully it shows up in time but if not I have plenty of other new gear for my buddy to test during the trip at least!

The more I’ve played around with it today, I’ve reached torch consistency that is very satisfying. No waste, even roast. $15 Harbor Freight torch.
I’ll say this, I enjoy it more currently as a two (big) rip instead of an attempted one and done long killer.
