Was able to use the YLL but it took more than one cycle. 100 watts at about 90 seconds, removed the glass and held it

Have you tried it with the Inductor yet? Seems it would do a pretty good job with that hunk of metal.
Also I saw an email that the delay on the remaining shipments is because they made a case for it with their CNC machines for safe shipping and ran out so they are having to make more. They expect preorders to still ship by end of this week but for me at the end of the day on the 11th means I should not expect it by next weekend.
For those that got theirs, is the case even worth it? You can tell them you don’t need the printed package to skip that and get it shipped faster according to the update email from 3 days ago (which I only just saw somehow).
Will not impact performance 
. JK, I’m a case kind of guy and I really like the included case. It’s 3d printed but holds the pieces perfectly in a nice confined space. Could easily be added to additional case layouts with minimal space.

I ordered on the 11th and got my confirmation email, but I haven’t received any emails since 
I want the case though. I know its just a 3D printed case, but I feel like its still part of the package I bought and it will be handy if I ever want to store the device.

Got mine today. I’ve had limited time with it but its bigger and heavier than I thought it would be. I’ve had a couple of consistent, GREAT, hits. The case is nice but I had a hard time getting the base out.

I saw someone over on reddit say they fried their V2 head for having it on too long. Another mentioned zap it for 20, rest for 10, then hit it again till click. I’ll be trying a flame too to try and pinpoint on this one
Mine was on the afternoon of the 10th. Just got the shipment delay email so far. Hopefully soon!

Observations and 2 cents after a week.
Turns out, it’s a ritual vape. Developed a routine very quickly with this one. The cooling stand is such a part of this that without, it would be incomplete. I’m using the straw method for loading and second dot heating for nice consistency. $15 Harbor Freight torch.
It should only be used once or twice per day. Let the others fill in the middle ground. The XL is a heavy, super heavy, hitter. Depending on strain but normally 3 big pulls. I’m a OHE kind of guy, but not happening with this one.
Baby lung challenge. Read above, not realistic with the amount of product used. Yeah, you can kill yourself and try, but there is going to be another one waiting. UNLESS you over cook or under pack, it ain’t happening.
Is it an “XYZ” killer? Nope, it’s a great addition (a super heavy one literally lol) to all the current great vapes you already own.

There’s straight up no way I intended to use this fully loaded unless I have someone to share it with. Lol no desire to wreck my tolerance!
How’s it handling smaller loads?

The Simrell XL handles smaller loads just fine. I’ve been running around .15g, and heating around the top dot seems to work best for those loads. My favorite way has just been scoop loading it gives me a big first hit, followed by a smaller second cleanup hit.
At the $240 release price, I think it’s a no-brainer if you want to get into this new Simrell ecosystem. I definitely don’t think people should be intimidated by the size of the XL. You don’t have to fill that big bowl to get great performance out of it.

Smaller loads. Yeah I guess it’s like driving the Corvette 35mph…it’ll do it very nicely, but it’s built for so much more lol. For me, if I want a smaller load I’ll use a smaller vape. Twice a day keeps the VAS away

did you take the glass out because of the tolerance when its still in there and possibility of expansion + cracking bc mine totally fits in my yll w the glass still in there. just a lil snug lmao

Yeah, I have 2 YLLs and a few inserts. One it goes in but is snug. The other I have to push it in and it’s way too tight.

Saw that earlier and thought…damn. I like it. Have been imagining a cigar type tube stem attached to this would be almost like a pocket steamroller.
Simrell said, This is just an adapter for the existing Ti Vortex stem. There is a XL stem being designed. Probably going to be a Big Boy stem coming. Lol
