Phase3 Z Series

I’ve been trying to come up with a descriptor of the flavor profile of the ZXL as I’m nearing my trip where I get to break it out and head toward nirvana (hoping to grab some good pics for the wiki :crossed_fingers:).

The best single word description I can come up with is “raw” and I mean it in the best of ways. My first draw with it was like swapping timelines. I never tasted anything like it. I think i had a strawberry strain and it was like the aftertaste of a strawberry just shy from peak ripeness. I’ve tasted strawberry before, but I’ve never tasted literal strawberry juice aftertaste before the ZXL. On my other devices the profile is completely different but they share relatively similar overall profiles. Blows my mind how the taste can be so different.

What’s y’alls take?

Also, for those of you that have the luxury of trying multiple ball vapes to date, is the flavor of the Z series a standout or does anything else match it in any way?

Edit: also yes yes yes for that ZXHybrid!

What’s up Ryan, hope all is well. Great to see you here. New website looks great, thanks for fixing the check out.

Out of curiosity, is the plan for the fixed ZXXL bowls to ship with the wireless ZXL, and is that still on track for next month?

Thanks so much man, greatly appreciate you and your dedication. Have a wonderful weekend.

Would something like this be 14mm like the standard ZX?

I just ordered a ZXL wireless. I would not hesitate to buy another vape if it were a regular ZX wireless. I really love the micro-dosing. It is becoming more popular and more companies are accommodating this trend with great success. Personally, I believe there would be a lot of demand for a wireless ZX. That is how I feel now. My opinion could change after I get to use the ZXL wireless. Only time will tell.

Great job! Very much looking forward to new products.

Slightly envious over here… I’m hoping my wired ZXL to be delivered in June. Poor me having to survive on my fine collection of premium devices :face_with_steam_from_nose: *sipping Musa3000 contemptuously

We are mirrors of each other, lol! Here I am (im)patiently waiting for the opportunity to order a MUSA3000. I’ll just have to settle for now

I call it “true-to-plant” taste. The herb tastes just like it smells. Just the way it’s supposed to

When I created the original ruby / sapphire ball vape in 2019 - I was purposely trying to recreate the quality of experience I was getting with my sapphire insert and quartz banger dab setup, but with dry herb.

It was going to take a lot to get close to that.

What’s going down dude, thanks so much for the encouragement and support my friend!

And thank you kindly for checking out the new website! (and my wireless stand :handshake: )

The plan is for the ZXXL sample/test parts to ship with the ZXLs and once those are stress tested and confirmed for resolution, those are to be rapid produced, with a production slot already arranged and not dependent on me ordering other zirconia parts.

I have to sincerely apologize for the extended delays on the ZXXLs, this year has been crazy slow so far for the store, which really put a damper on everything I’ve been working towards regarding finishing projects quicker.

Appreciate you and everyone else holding it down for real :folded_hands:

Yeah it’s originally designed to be 14mm female, like an inverted ZX.

But as far as a wireless ZX, I don’t know, I think I waited too long.
When I do nudge and poke about the idea it doesn’t seem to grab too much interest.

From talking with my customers most people either bought a hornet, switched to an even bigger ball vape, quit cannabis entirely, or are so satisfied with their wired ZX that they don’t feel the need to upgrade.

I’ve been working on a P3 hot stick vape concept purpose built for micro dosing.

I might start playing over in that pool.

Two train tickets to terp town!

Hey friend I sincerely appreciate your patience and support!

Wired ZXL is a total gem and I can’t wait to get that in your hands shortly here!

Thanks so much to everyone supporting the vision!

Zirconia ceramics are now completed from production and shipping to me this week.

Can not wait to try some of my favorite strains via the ZXL.

Trop C, Superboof, melted strawberries…

Do you find when adding some concentrate in the mix you find that brighter as well?

And a stick vape? That’s my favorite category. Sign me up!

Melted strawberries is a nice one for sure, the Z’s are definitely the terp chasers choice

I honestly haven’t twaxed in quite a long time, I usually like to vape full melt concentrates separately and enjoy that as its own experience. But I love vaping straight dry sift, or even a little bed of heads on top of good herb! With pure convection, that’s a delight for sure.

Mind sharing the exact temp you use on your ball vape?

Stop it, or I’ll spam you with MUSA porn :dashing_away:

Man that last batch of ZXLs came out ridiculously sweet!

Honestly think they were some of the nicest vapes I ever sent out.

I wish there was enough interest to do another run of 16mm ZX’s with the machined Z8 style air inlets.

I had this idea to do a final version of the ZX called the ZXR, which was like the final culmination of the design. And I had an idea to make the kits more affordable using alternative technology, to increase the accessibility. But I might have missed the boat on that project too, wired kits seem to be falling out of phase I suppose.

I always had all these ideas but often felt weird about trying to release or change too much too quickly.

It would be really interesting to learn more about the ZXR!
And I think a wireless version could make sense too, and that there might be more people interested in it now that the IO Hornet has been released.
I’m also really looking forward to hearing what people think of the ZXL. This will be the first wireless ball vape you’ve produced that will be in the hands of buyers.

I remember before on FC you said something about the ZX thermal capacity was optimized for a micro hit and that meant in some way it dint have enough retention in the current design for a wireless version. Also curious to see what you might come up with in the hot stick space for microdosing ball vape.

Yes on a ZXR

There’s no real plans to release a wireless ZX anymore, but as always, if the demand shows up, it could happen!

And I’m absolutely looking forward to the wireless reviews and am super excited to get them out!! ZXXLs are coming up very shortly after!

The ZX was designed for optimized heat retention while plugged in, which awards it a rather fast heat up time and temperature change (for a desktop ball vape)

ZX heat retention for wireless use could be balanced /improved easy enough, but assumedly the incredibly soon-to-be released stainless steel S14 will be designated as the new “small vape” offering from PHASE3.
