Tafee Flaske

I haven’t tried swapping the battery. I was talking about time to vibrate/green lights, not time to produce vapor. With the TB2, I can press the button and it’s vibrating/green by the time it gets to my lips. The Flaske takes about a second longer. Still plenty fast, at least for me.

Got the Dani Fusion 2 mouthpiece and it does work really nicely with the Flaske. It’s a little small as far as width goes but I definitely like how I don’t have to have my lips so close to the device and now I can even use it with the case again

Same for me. Just as you described.

Ah gotcha. I have a feeling that the vibration is not based on the temp and resistance and more based on programming because it’s incredibly consistent from cold whether you’re on level 1 or level 5. It may just be I hadn’t noticed the timing difference there.

Thanks brah!

Appreciate the effort!

Thanks brother!

I like things like this in bulk, don’t really like paying $10 for a few, like other options out there!

Check out oringsandmore.com you can build a pretty good variety pack for not that much money just by adding the minimum quantity for each that you like. They have the really high end o rings too and excellent customer service from my one experience.

sorry i didn’t see your message. Thank you for your help but in fact, without the device or a copy, i’m not really able to create a nice leather cover. i’d be happy to pay for a 3D print if someone is able to make one?

I was just going to write that… Vaphit’s oring set has the perfect size in there and is sooo much better than stock! The stock orings make the mouthpiece loose in the device and easily pops out and was the main reason I didn’t like using it. Completely changed once I swapped for vaphit’s orings (they’re just a bit thicker and thus stay on snug)…

this is exactly what I have been biding my tongue on… The unit I have is being sent back due to an internal rattle, but I’m also going to inform them about some other things and that’s what I was thinking - that how it’s fit together isn’t aligned perfectly and has caused inconsistent performance, and hopefully they can realign everything and send back and if they do and works great after that, then that will be confirmation that this is the actual issue and a problem that multiple people might be running into.

I tried both of them out a bit again, side by side. I think I exaggerated a little; the warm-up time is actually very similar.

OK I finally got away after a f*cking nightmare week in my personal and professional life and got to our vacation place to clear my head. This means no sploofy pro and full experience.

I tried tamping more based on previous comments but it is too easy to get toward combustion on level 4. @420vapezone you said you are tamping more heavily… have you noticed this? It took two draws when starting from level 4 and the third got sour burny after a few seconds.

My takeaway is not negative on the device. This means to me it’s a little (lot) more powerful than the TB2 probably from the increased airflow. Side by side I’d even say the TB2 is as much as 50% weaker than the Flaske so far on the same power levels.

I was surprised I hadn’t heard anything about that big of a difference so I’m curious if others experience the same?

I brought a metric shit-ton of hash and trates with me (40+ strains of hash and rosin, some unopened 1oz jars*) so if the time is right I plan on diving into that to see how it performs.

I think this thing will do trates and hash way better than the TB2 and i can’t wait to test.

Edit to fix quantity in jars. 28oz would be insane!

There’s a handful of units that seemingly have “combustion power”. @Northernhigh420 has one. I’ve packed tight and started on 5 and haven’t combusted. @420vapezone hasn’t been able to push his that far either.

Would be interesting to get two of them side by side to see if they are calibrated slightly different.

yah mine definitely won’t combust - but there might be more to it than power calibration

i deep cleaned mine this week and when I put it all back together my airflow was slightly tigher and less wooshy than before. I’m not sure what changed though

i haven’t vaped with it since cleaning it though, only hit it dry

Mine is definitely capable of combustion, but I haven’t burned one yet. I’ve gotten closer than I prefer on setting 4, and even 3 can get toasty if I’m ripping it. I like the extra power, whether it’s actually more powerful or just an airflow thing.

Does anyone have tracked data on bowls per charge? While mine is not underpowered, i think I counted 8 pots last time before it was to 2 lights with use about 70% at level 3 and 30% at level 4.

I haven’t actively tracked but I think after 4 charges I’m hovering around 12-15 pots per charge.

I would like to take this chance to complain about “user replaceable” battery design vs “hot swappable” design. The exact scenario I want to be able to hot swap for happened already (twice!) which means it will happen more… battery was too low by the time I finished the previous session but I was not clear headed enough to plug it in to charge. It doesn’t support pass-through charging so the options when you are short on time are disassembling on the fly or just hoping you have another device on hand until it hits minimum charge.

I feel entitled complaining about this, but if you are making it user swappable it doesn’t seem like it would have been that hard to make it easier to access the battery. It’s like building frustration thoughtfully into the design to keep people who don’t understand li-ion battery performance and safety to discourage them. All it does it irritate me.

For those interested/following my Flaske saga, I have been corresponding with their support for the last few days. I am actually dealing with a human now. I’ll be sending mine back in for repair/reassembly later this month. They asked that I hold off, so that they will have more stock in case it needs to be replaced.

My replacement is on the way, arriving Friday, but still in Canada so who knows. They are sending me back my stem with a new base unit. I asked them twice to make sure that the fit and finish matched. They ignore it both times.
