For sure! I’m actually about to have a conversation with them about collaborating on a new design for a new design to work with a different vape, but I might start collaborating on more in the future.
By the way, I wanted to share a quick video of my FLASKE, which is from the second batch, so you can see how easy it is for me to remove and reinsert the stem.
Apparently, quite a few people who received units from the first batch had issues with this. Some reported that the stem was pretty difficult to remove or put back in, and a few even mentioned using oil to make the process easier.
On my second-batch unit, though, everything seems to slide in and out pretty easily, so it looks like some adjustments may have been made between batches.
That being said, I should add a small disclaimer: I have pretty big fingers, I work out regularly, and I lift weights, so maybe it just feels easy from my perspective. Someone else might still find it more difficult.
That’s exactly why I’m sharing this short video—you can see for yourselves how easily the stem comes out and goes back in on my unit.
Has anyone tested the battery life on level 5? How many pots can you get on a full charge?
I have not had any issues or complaints with my Flaske from the pre-order batch. The fit and finish seem fine to me. Stem removal seems to work as expected. The fake leather case saved it from a water bottle I accidentally knocked over on top of the Flaske. Now, I did manage to combust in it once, but it was user error. I had an overly packed tamped down pot and just finished an end of bowl clean up hit. But instead of turning my Flaske off, I accidentally fired up the heater and then instinctively took another big rip. Bam, combusted! It was on level 5.
I have one of the original Flaskes. I really have zero complaints with mine. I find it easy to use and clean. I also have no complaints with the fit and finish. I have not used a Bowle so nothing to compare with there. I usually vape with an Anvil through water and I cough more with this method. I have had a Frolic for 7 months and the Flaske for 1 month and I have used the Flaske much more than the Frolic.
Chiming in to also say, first batch, zero issues.
Same here…I was a bit worried while awaiting delivery after seeing all the negative claims, but I guess I lucked out…no issues with metal flaking, air flow, or fit/finish…so far the device has been awesome![]()
I dont know if i agree with some of his takes.
He is on point with his take on effects. Love the convection feel because it is a functional high rather than a “put your ass in the cough” high. Taste is excellent, and vapor production is good. Avb is very consistent.
The MP is definitely too short. It looks good, but function is meh. I am also having an issue with the o-rings falling off or getting kinked on MP insertion.
The heater button placement is terrible. I have accidentally pressed it more than a few times
i personally like the seams. Maybe mine is a bit better than others, but if that is the case then they need to work on their QA process.
I dont know what bud is talking about heat with higher settings. I run it on 3 or 4 and i dont get hardly any heat in my hits. Even my wife commented on how she couldnt “feel” her hits….which kinda surprised her and made her cough. Could this also be a QC issue? Maybe they are not all calibrated the same?
i dont have the Tb2 to compare, but i have had other battery vapes (xmax, arizer, TM2) and this one is by far the “best” one i have had. I would like to try the frolic, but the all plastic airway does not sit easy with me.
the size is a bit bigger than i would like for true portability, but i like the on board storage. I dont wanna carry an extra piece if i am running out for a bit. 3 pods will easily get me through 4-8 hrs. I am ok with the size of it to keep the on-board pod storage. I feel like they have the MP in the storage area placed wrong. They could have increased the size of the MP if they moved the orientation to a vertical storage solution inside the compartment (maybe?).
one thing i wish didnt happen with the flask, but it gets a bit warm after multiple b2b sessions. The all metal construction helps, but it still hgets WARM (not hot) to the touch. Wish that wasnt the case, but it is.
I suppose it is person dependent, but i do not consider this an “at home” vape. If i am sitting on the couch, i am not reaching for the Flaske, i am reaching for one of my simrells, unless i am in the yard working. I can definitely see the TB2 being an “at home” thing though.
At the end of the day it is all personal preference. I wont attempt to say the flaske is awesome to justify the $567 expense, but it is a pretty good vape function wise. Could certainly things be better? Absolutely. I have always been a “function over form” guy, but bud is correct about “this is a $567 vape, it should be a bit better”. Nothing is perfect, but for the money, their QA should be a bit better.
I am not unhappy with the flaske, but i probably could’ve gotten away with not getting it. Now that i have it though, ima use the shit out of it….when i go out.
Well said @SchweddyBawlz !
I’m experiencing the extremely difficult to remove the stem issue although everything else seems to be working fine. I’m from batch 2 also. As you’ll see from the pic, the internal mechanism is crooked and normal use is badly scratching the device from me trying to get it out.
I’m not doing the oil thing was a workaround as it could possibly void the warranty and oil attracts dust so not doing that. I’ve sent the picture of the crooked catch to Tafee as its within the 14 days so hopefully they do the right thing and pay for me to have it shipped back as the problem is obviously due to defective workmanship. I’m waiting on their reply now.
I have noticed that it was super tough when i first got it, but it is loosening up as time goes on. I was actually playing with the airpath on the couch just pulling it apart and clicking it back together for the first couple of days. I am NOT getting metal shavings/dust either
I wouldn’t use oil if you’re having issues. What i would use is a bit of dynawax or maybe some of that flowermill wax. Unscented beeswax and cutting board wax work well too. Just a little on that raised track portion would probably make it a bit easier.
Thanks. It’s not actually the sliding in and out, it’s where the stem clip snaps into the catch that’s at the end of the track actually inside the body, the part at the end thats crooked. That’s what’s giving a hard time getting it out, it’s because it’s uneven therefore doesn’t just slide out smoothly as normal and requires me to have a wrestling match to do so.
It kinda looks in your pic like the bottom plate is slightly elevated on the left side but flush on the right side. Have you tried removing the panels and screw to adjust at all? I imagine that would help with it feeding into the tab slot if it is misaligned like the picture indicates.
Thanks for the advice but I’m not comfortable doing that at all and would not risk voiding my warranty tbh. Tafee just needs to back up the claims of what’s clearly stated on their site as far as performance and what we paid for. All I’m asking is for them to pay for shipping back to get it properly aligned and taken care of. I’m confident they’ll at least do that especially with all the pics, so let’s see. Everything else on the unit is fine…so far anyway.
i hope your confidence pays off, they seem to deflect a lot of claims tho based on those long winded email responses i’ve seen here.. good luck
Fingers crossed. Please keep us updated.
Will do and trust me I have other ways but hoping they keep it simple.
I noticed my stem rubbing on one side and i did have 2 lil flakes. My unit doesn’t leave much room to slide in and out cleanly. Especially the right side, the gap is much tighter on the right and thats where its rubbing.
Its crazy to think we have to slide this in straight. I feel its more likely to happen when removing the stubborn stem.
Keep in mind, that when it’s time to change the battery, which I’m sure you’re going to have to do yourself, you’ll have to take off the panels to do so…
…so you might as well take off the panels to reassemble as you would have to do the same to replace the battery.
Don’t be afraid to do this. It’s super easy.
My flaske went dead and they sent me instructions on how to remove and reinsert the battery if anyone is interested. I’m guessing that this occurs regularly or they wouldn’t have produced this tutorial.
It’s a 21 700 battery branded ‘Tafee’.
