@Rush2112 The replaceable battery may still have the headroom. Frolic only does an 80 or 90% charge to protect battery life. On FC folks that counted said they got 2 more bowls charging externally, but I never tested it out. I plug it in to charge if I don’t want to use it now, and swap battery if I want to vape with it and forgot to charge it.
Understanding that the Bowle 2 battery has headroom makes me feel a lot better about how I charge the unit and also the longevity of the battery. How long will the unit last for how much I use it? I’m hoping to get a good five years from it.
As for the FLASKE, the replaceable battery along with how inexpensive batteries are makes the issue of headroom less important though headroom doesn’t just improve battery life but also keeps the unit running cooler which is important as well.
I have no doubt the aromatherapy performance of the FLASKE will be on par with the Bowle 2 so the interesting thing to me is how battery performance will be. I’m hoping to be able to get at least 8 pots worth of battery charge.
Hey!
TY TY, im trying to stay positive. I was expecting a bit of an early shipment but i guess things came up. Here’s hoping there are no delays ![]()
This is an email i got from Tafee last month regarding batteries.
"Regarding batteries, the **Molicel P50B** you mentioned would be suitable from a specification standpoint. However, we do not recommend hot-swapping batteries during use.
Flaske is designed around a **user-replaceable** battery system intended for long-term ownership rather than on-the-go exchange. The included cell has been carefully selected and benchmarked to deliver optimal performance and reliability within the system.
In practice, we recommend using and recharging the supplied battery within the device as configured from the factory. Should the battery naturally degrade over time (typically after a few years of use), or if improved cell technologies become available, you may then replace it with a comparable high-discharge 21700 cell.
We look forward to delivering your Flaske and expanding your experience."
“Swappable” would have been nice, but “removable” will work for me.
It’s interesting that they say normal use will degrade the battery in a few years. I’d be extremely disappointed if my Bowle 2 battery only lasted a few years since it’s not replaceable. I think this tells me that the FLASKE battery will not last quite as long as the Bowle. Again, no problem because it’s replaceable.
It’ll be interesting to see what real life users say. We’ll know soon.
I am hoping this might be the shareable vape I have been looking that is easy and intuitive for non-vaporists, has a non-plastic air path, and also fits well in a pocket.
They mentioned lasting around 3 years so not too bad and it sounds like the Molicell p50B’s will work as a replacement. Unless a new better battery comes out
I got some pics that Bruno said I could share. I’m not even sure what the first one is…some kind of stir tool? Here you go!
This one Looks so Cool Sleek and Clean. Can’t wait to see review and see what You and Troy think of it. @stickstones
I resisted the VAS with the Tafee Bowle 2, the Solo 3, and the Frolic. This one got me. It will be my first new portable since the Venty. I am excited to try this one after hearing all the great reviews of the TB2.
Thanks Jerry!
folks have wanted “more pics & video’s” well you came through! Now these aren’t illuminating as to operational characteristics but they are new and welcome. Great to see how well it fits the hand and some pics showing relative size.
The pot tamper/pick combo looks interesting, there were some forum members wondering if that slots into the device somehow. People are like kids the day b4 Xmas, all antsy and enthusiastic!
@stickstones - could that be a retractable stir tool? Be spiffy it doubled to plug the mouthpiece when carrying it in my dirty pocket. Nothing like a big hit of pocket lint to ruin the mood.
I emailed them asking if there was a way to seal the mouthpiece when not in use (ie. silicone cork) and i was told they do have a silicone cork to keep debris out…my guess is this is the cork/debowler?
Edit*
I just noticed in the 2nd pic the cork/debowler is in the stash where the mouthpiece goes
I know this hasn’t shipped yet, but maybe a tb2 owner could answer?
How does swapping out the pots work? Like, when on the go, can the internal storage chamber hold the spent pot? For example on my Firewood 9, I use tweezers to remove the spent (sometimes still hot) capsules, and put them back in the capsule holder. Sometimes I put them in some other smell proof container. But that’s a hybrid system so the capsules get hot as part of the process.
Any concerns swapping out on the go?
I believe that it appears that way, it fits in that tiny hole at the bottom. Note how easily it sits in the “pot”.
Bruno is showing off his designer chops in these picture compositions
Swapping pots is almost as easy as swapping dosing capsules in the Venty. I keep a set of 8 pre-filled pots in an Altoids can made for the Tafee. With the Flaske, there really is no need to keep pre-filled pots separate because they will now be stored in the unit itself. 3 full pots for a few hours out is perfect. I probably will still carry more in a separate container because I am a heavy user and 3 pots wouldn’t be enough to last me a full day away from the house.
Also, the pots cool down really fast – similar to the S&B dosing capsules. Cool down quickly to make a quick swap.
Bottom line: The Tafee pots are super easy to pop in and out. The Flaske’s ability to store 3 pre-filled pots will be more than enough for most users.
There are a lot of portables out there but I can’t think of any off the top of my head that let’s you carry pre-filled pots (bowls) within the unit for travel. I’m sure there are some but I got nothing at the moment.
The Tafee Flaske looks like a winner!
Yeson 2 carries one in the chamber and one on the device just reviewed one a few weeks ago. Looks like this could be a good dog walking vape usually do 2-3 bowls a walk
That looks interesting. All glass airpath? Good price.
Yep all glass just wish hit a little harder
