The M7 is a manually heated, battery-free dry herb vaporizer from DynaVap. It uses an external heat source (typically a butane torch or induction heater) and a temperature-indicating “click” cap system. The M7 is the 2024 refresh of the long-running “M” series and focuses on improved heat retention, airflow, and cooling compared to earlier stainless-steel M models. It is commonly used for microdosing, one-hit extractions, and water piece setups.
Finally hit the m7 I bought in the vas episode I had at the beginning of my last tbreak. Took me a couple tries to figure out that I should hit it at the base of the cap. But then it was really interesting. First conduction heavy vape I’ve tried and I’m not quite sure how I feel about the taste. The roastiness is interesting. I’m curious about whether a different strain will change the flavor
The high was definitely more body heavy than I’m used to I liked it but I think more as a change of pace than a daily thing.
One question though. What’s the preferred way to remove the hot cap? I had a magnet all ready but the cap isn’t magnetic. Neither pushing the edge against my debowler nor a pair of needle nose I had handy worked. Had to wait for the cap to cool then use my fingers.
I cut a couple of small squares out of leather to grab hot caps with. Or you can park the hot M7, and fire up a second DynaVap - my preferred method. By the time it’s beat, the first one is cool…
Just found out how easy it is to combust from overly aggressive torching lol. Almost made my dynavap into a one hitter. I knew I had done it as soon as I turned off the torch at second click because smoke started leaking out. But I hit it anyway because hey, it’s still weed and I hate wasting anything
The first two (smallish) rips were combustion and I thought I had actually got it going and the whole bowl was going to be like hits from my ss pipe back in the day. But then it settled down and the rest of the bowl was nicely roasted, with a smoky piquancy as a bonus
I’ve found it only takes a few accidental combusts to get one drop of (pipe) resin - and that clogged the relatively narrow condenser. Airflow is Bonger’s bane, recently switched to SS screens from the CCD.
