It’s neat. Vaporizing cannabis with hot coals is a super old method, it’s neat to see a modern ease of use improvement. The OP definitely got some unnecessary flak IMO.
I’m curious about the materials safety of the heating plate, as well as the byproducts of pulling air through the coals, but it’s not like hookahs are an untested idea. The coals are usually made of stuff like compressed coconut husk.
If I were already a hookah user who enjoyed it with friends, this would be a super neat thing to try easily, and it’s not harmful at all to share.

This system is magic with full melt temple
ball. Frenchi Canolli always used the Quasar, I got to try one once and it’s simply the best for Hash. I’ll get one day. Ya also should be a producer cause it’s not a micro doser. Frenchi would put in a few grams or more each time.
I love making temple ball with bubble bags, but I’d love to get one or those static hash separators.
