The Simrell: Titanium

Quick summary: The Simrell is a battery free Dry Herb Vaporizer built entirely from Titanium by Simrell Collection, a small family run operation in Ohio. The vaporizer uses thermostat discs for audible temperature indication, and 3 heating modes: conduction, convection, or hybrid which is determined by where you apply heat to the device, rather than any electronic setting. It is Simrell Collection’s first complete vaporizer; the company built its reputation making accessories for a plethora of dry herb vaporizers before developing this.

Simrell Collection is a US-based vaporizer and accessories manufacturer founded in 2017 by Austyn Simrell in Ohio. The company built its name making compatible user enhancing accessories for the industry and most notably the Vortex Cooling Stem, before developing the Simrell vaporizer. Production is small-batch in the United States; the company is family owned and operated.

Really like it in terms of quality and extraction. Also the different heat zones do some other signature in the vapor. For convection hits, especially when testing new strains, I like the heating on the top of the cap more. Some soft start and tasty clouds like typical convection imo. On the lower zone really conduction style, fast start bigger clouds. That’s my go to for hash - i pack it in some vapewool, heat at the middle to bottom and go maybe a second over the click. Bowl is not that big compared to other stick vapes except dyna. But the Dyna screens will fit, too.

This positive aspects said, but… the thread from cap to bowl is such a pain. You need to hit the beginning of the thread exactly so I will screw in. Tried to rotate counterwise first, exact in angle on top, with debowler and clamp… That’s often really annoying. I have short patience sometimes, bad combination  a trapezoid and wider thread would be easier from handling imo…

Really liking HYDRO with the Simrell Sherlock by Ne3dglass. I have a Wig Wag version of the Ne3dlock and Herborizer Sherlock too but I like the straight round mouthpiece on the Simrell Sherlock clear best.

The Simrell Ti has been my daily driver vape for almost an entire year. My Reliversary is May 5th! :rocket: :face_in_clouds:

I stepped up to the Simrell after being a long time Dynavap user and looking for something more than just a battery powered devices (while convenient), They were just not doing it for me like a Butane Vapes had been.

I love it being able to use without issue in the Wand pretty idiot proof in there or now in the YLL 3.0.

But where it shines the most its when paired with a quality Torch. The three heat zones Austyn points out in his vids/guides is no joke.

Here are some pics of my Simrells from the past year, :dashing_away: I just recently added a Hydro to the collection and Boy that little guy FUCKs.

Gorgeous stuff! Have you been tempted by the mini Blazer Simrell sells for $50? It’s the only torch I use anymore…

Hell yea that little guy is a nice one for the Ti Reli for sure. Something with a little more oomph is what I’m gearing to get next as the Hydro can take on a lot more heat.

@stickstones Could you add the videos from Budboss, Pete, and Simrell himself?

Also, I think it would help to add Simrell’s history beyond Dynavap in this description, he did more than just make Dynavap accessories.

Absolutely! The first post is just a starting point for the wiki that it is designed to be, and the intent is to be community driven. Hit me up in a DM and, if you want, write up what you think should be added and I’ll update the post…

Repurposed my Tempest 2 case to carry my Simrell Ti. The Ti is slightly smaller so it rattles around descending the trail. Need something clever to take up the extra space. Don’t want to shove anything down into the bottom of the case that I can’t fish out later. Any ideas? Anyone else carrying their Simrell Ti around in a Tempest 2 case?

Cotton balls pieces work in the Tubes should work in Tempest2 case but never tried.

I’ve been daily using my Simrell Ti for over a year now. By far the most reached unit in the growing quiver of my stick vape/TEDs and vapes in general. This unit will grow with me for the long-term future. Highly recommended for All flavor chasers.

Maybe some clay? Idk if you’re old enough to remember the “sticky glue(ie) clay teachers use to use to stick up posters in the classroom. Maybe that’ll work. Maybe some eva foam stuck to the top of the case? So when you close the case the foam takes up the space so it won’t rattle? Hope this helps.

You do realize that you can open both ends of the Tempest 2 case?

Has anyone used the Simrell Ti with the forge? If so, what’s your settings?

Just recently received Ti Simrell. I really like it a lot. I was considering getting another for myself for Mother’s Day to be dedicated to DV tips. However, I am very disappointed, I can’t get it to work correctly with my induction heaters.

I have 2 newer heaters, 3 new sets of P42 batteries, and I just keep getting the same results. After the full charge on the batteries, it only goes down 1 mark after a couple of vape sessions then it goes to max mode, because supposedly it is lacking enough power, so it reduces the wattage. It does that with both heaters and all 3 sets of batteries. Very disappointing to say the least.

I do not have any problems with my V2 Punch-V2 Tempest, or any of my DynaVaps. I can use these without any issues until it goes down to 1 mark and the batteries are almost dead. I Love using the induction heater, and don’t mind using a torch once in a while.

I thought this thing (Simrell) was supposed to work with the YLL 3.0. Anyone here have any suggestions or ideas of what is going on?

Just read this elsewhere: 50 watts @ 53 seconds with depth set to first fin for the reli. Someone else 70 watt for 40 seconds. Hope that helps. For me, it seems like it takes about the same amount of power & time compared to heating a tempest 2 (Inductor).

Thanks, I am glad it is not just me. First I have heard of this and I have watched a lot of videos. I agree, it seems to be about the same as the tempest, which kind of sucks, because I really like my tempest set at 90 watts for 30-35 seconds. I’ll try those lower watts and see how it works. Although, it seems to give me terp burn at lower watts.

I am interested in knowing if it works properly with the Flare 2.0 to where you can set it at higher, more desired wattage.

Thanks again!

Good place to start with the YLL 3.0 and Simrell Ti. Simrell streams every Thursday at 9pm EST and Saturday at 7pm on Twitch and YouTube. He is great about answering questions about his devices and will definitely help you get great results. The Simrell discord community is alot help too. Me personally love the convection and hybrid zones.
