When looking in the mirror don’t say, I’m lookin ugly, tired, old, not good today…Just look yourself straight in the eyes and say: I love you, I love you, I love you… say it a couple of times. It might feel strange in the beginning but after a while you get used and you will feel very good by lookin at yourself. Result, you will look and feel much better.
When you get up and go to sleep just say a couple of times: I am who I am and that’s enough, I am who I am and that’s enough…Result, you will feel more relaxed, less stress, more confidence
Don’t say I am overweight I must go to the gym, I have no energy I must do some sports, I am getting old my body isn’t good looking anymore…none of that. Just get up and say, today I am going to improve myself and start walking, ride the bike, go for a swim , gym, whatever you like. Result ,your body will improve quickly without pressure and you will feel much better.

The rice experiment proves the effects of positive vs negative thoughts. I didn’t try it myself but it is well known. So love yourself and be kind to oneself. Saying I love you in the mirror I tried, and still do, has definitely a great effect on your mind.
I’ve noticed weed magnifies feelings. You laugh harder but sad things and thoughts can be sadder. So crank tunes and change the channel upstairs if something sad comes on.
I do 1-2 3 month contracts in healthcare a year, which has meant taking a 30 day t-break every so often. (My next contract didn’t specify a test but I stopped anyway in case they accidentally forgot to say I need to do one ).
All that was to say that, after restarting each time it takes a couple weeks before I feel like myself again. T-breaks are a kinda white knuckle experience where I’m just trying to hang onto the really positive changes I’ve made in myself since starting to use weed daily a couple years ago.
It’s been such a catalyst for change in my life. I have a hypothesis about what it changes in me but haven’t gone through enough neuroscience literature yet to know if it holds water.
And the more you are your biggest fan, the more you love yourself, the more you can give love to others, and the more love you will receive from others.
Same. I got into cannabis for my wrecked back, and it’s great for that. But it’s also made me more compassionate, and I think I’m a better listener now, too.
I find that I have better days if I keep corrosive, negative thoughts away and focus on the here and now and what lies ahead for my wife and my family and I.
Especially regret and jealousy and fretting over small stuff.
I’ve discovered this too and it’s done a few things for me. I feel a bit more comfortable knowing that it would be very difficult for me to abuse weed and use it as a crutch.
I’ve found that at times when life is tough and I’m feeling down, I tend not to try and use weed as an escape because it can magnify these feelings. If I do experience a bit of spiraling, I’ve developed tools over the years to deal with invasive thoughts, especially if they occur when I’m high. It’s like a muscle I’ve trained and weed has helped me discover a higher level of self control.
When times are good, weed really does amplify things and generally makes them better. It makes me less irritable, more compassionate and it’s really great for laughs and comedy. Belly laughs and uncontrolled giggles are the ultimate healing salve for life.
