The Screwball is a titanium hybrid ball vape from Vapvana using a 25mm coil and a chamber filled with ~750 small gem-cut rubies instead of traditional ruby spheres. It’s a desktop setup designed around open airflow and hybrid convection/conduction heating.
The heater sits over a titanium bowl and can be used more like either an injector or diffuser depending on how long you heat soak the bowl before drawing.
I got hold of one of these a year ago and it’s a great ball vape! I can only really compare it to my Cannabis Hardwwre B2, and both vapes seem very very similar
It has a microdosing bowl called the Pinch Hitter which I LOVE. That bowl fits about 0.1g. Love to use that with a smaller sidecar piece. Amazingly intense hits even with that smaller bowl!
Used mind the other day after it had been sitting for a while. Someone mentioned that micro bowl which made me break it out and glad I did. The larger bowl is pretty awesome too. With the screen set at the top position, it doesn’t take much just to fill it and get a nice even roast throughout.
I’ve been using the new modular bowls. Both perform as good as the OGs, in fact the microdose bowl works slightly better in the sense that the roast is slightly more even. I think this might be a thermal mass thing the new modular microdose bowl is nearly 10g heavier than the OG.
I had trouble with the screwball ball vape such that sometimes I got an inhale that was cold compared to what the pid reported, sometimes it was way hotter than reported and then it charred my load and that made me so mad I put the vaporizer away. I got lots of ball vapes and this one misbehaved.
I have learned that if I wait 10 minutes or so it gets to the right temperature but I am vaping weed not camomile so I forget and this vape bites me and then goes on my do not use list.
It is powerful and can vape evenly across a wide screen area.
I have noticed the vape is capable of dropping 50 degrees f on a single inhale. My freight train drops maybe 5.
Screwball basically cured my VAS. I have a couple of Tiodws, Omega/Vulcan, QR Baller and Screwball is the winner. Been my nightly driver and friends are over vape for over 2 years now.
