Which vape for old school hash?

Which vapes do you find to work best with traditional hash?

Jerry and I recently tested the Hornet, Vapman, Simrell, Dynavap, Bakx, Herborizer and got HAF. see the results → Best Hash Vapes

Which vapes do you use with hash? Which vapes should we test next?

I’m planning on testing Frolic, Venty, JoyStik

BAKx followed by Vapman

Tempest (and 2) does it decent and so does Frolic but those first two stand far above the rest.

The Mighty works pretty good with hash in a dosing capsule, with the concentrate pad or on top of some herb

I love the Solo for hash. I like to layer it in the stem with flower.

I also enjoy Old School Hashish in the Volcano (with a dedicated EZ Valve Chamber).

That’s cool that people are even talking about old school hash.

I wanted to make a vape just for that but it never felt like there was enough demand for it.

Maybe that has changed!

What about the lotus? Haven’t tried it (no hash near me) but Google says it’s great with it.

As the King of butane hash vapes the Vapman (OG or 2.0 - not the click Version) was already mentioned, my second pick for traditional hash is the Dani Fusion V2.

Cuboo VaGo (“smaller brother” of the Arizer Solo V III) with the Dani Fusion V2 mouthpiece is my prefered portable electronic combination for hash in the go. The VaGo is poket and budget friendlier than the Solo. On the other hand, the battery does not last as long.

Some friends of mine like to vape hash with the xmax starry 4, but i like the VaGo hash sessions more. I guess it is the glas airpath of the VaGo that makes the difference for me.

There are some Videos on YT with Christoph from KrautCloud vaping this VaGo & Dani Mouthpiece Setup.

I think number one is the BAKx - works so well with hash in vape wool or rolled in a screen like Ralph’s 400 mesh - a plus is also how easy and no mess

Number two is Vapman with their concentrate screen

Btw that episode was very entertaining

I like to take one big rip for a hash bowl. The Dynavap is my go-to. A little flower, tiny bit of hash and a little more flower (not grinded). I go about five seconds after the click so it doesn’t combust, but it heats the hash enough to make one super rip.

JCVAP Herbcloud the Crown. Plenty of power and wet or dry cooling for a fabulous hash session.

Switch 2 with a Ti bucket is the best way I’ve consumed hash full stop. I think it will do well with anything that melts.

Thems some tasty looking balls there!

My Vapman would love a taste.

Bakx is my go to but I also like the Stunner for hash and all the TRWW type vapes work well for hash as well.

Traditional style hash fans are not so well represented in the vape world, few devices handle it well! Looking forward to you guys testing out the Frolic as I have had my eye on that one for some time. From all the vapes I’ve tried, the Solo 3 does the best practical job, Vapman wins for flavor. Dynavap does a very decent job with it, Tempest rips if leaning a bit more toward the conduction side when heating. Mighty does ok, Venty handles it the worst of the bunch probably. Ball vapes do it well at high temps but I feel they are not the best tool for the job unless the head sits somewhat close to the resin to provide some radiant heat. It really benefits from conductive or radiant heat.

You guys need yourselves some hemp wool to mix up the hash in. Every time I see hash being mixed with flower, it has the same logic to me as picking out trees from an apple and cleaning them out of branches and leaves, and then once you have the pristine apples ready to eat, you chop them up and mix in some twigs and leaves and consume it like a mixed salad… I’ll do it with a group of friends when the idea is to get an above reasonable effect from time to time, but if the idea is to discern the hash itself or the vape’s ability to vaporize hash, it is not the most scientific method. With the vape wool the best method I found is to chop up the wool in 1-2cm pieces so they aren’t as long, and to break up the hash into small bits, as small as possible and mix them with the vape wool so they are well spread out in all 3 dimensions inside the wool. This takes advantage of any convective heat that the vape is giving. Using it as a flat disk, or in big chunks is not as efficient unless there is direct contact with a conduction heat element, and one does not use the vape wool.

I’m glad it was mentioned here a few times because the Solo3 doesn’t get enough recognition as a good hash vape. I’m sure the BakX is amazing for hash but I think that the S3 is really a poor-man’s BakX. They both use a glass tube that’s electrically heated on the outside and benefit from a lot of radiant/conductive heat once the glass gets raging hot.

The Vaponic/Terpcicle/Quartz cap vapes also fall into this category and are good hash vapes imo.

I think the definition needs some defining. For the different variations and the remains… For a rosin or full melt var… The Dynavap Unidyne with a coil is super hard to beat. You can preload and carry… It works WELL in induction usage and it’s super easy to clean and can iso soak. You take the MP off and no O-rings

Old school hand hash has a lot of plant matter as does some bricks… Done right… Both can be amazing experiences, and exotic. Done wrong… Goo and more black nastyness and ruin!!! Be very careful with your more precious items. You can say goodbye to a lovely experience if you get too wild for sure.

Don’t Chaz your gear!

I have always had problems trying to vape old school hash. Especially trying to vape it straight in a bowl.
Last night I was having success using my new ZXL wireless vape. Not only did it have good taste, it was also providing good vapor. I was running it around 610F. I’ll be playing around with it more tonight.

This tiny little ZXL is very powerful!

I tried straight hash no flower.

Brick Hash

Temple Ball Hash

This was my first time ever going to a dispo and making a purchase. I have always made my own stuff. I am considering shutting down my grow, it has been going for over 26 years straight. I have some needed upgrades to do for my home, and I need a bit of a break too.

I am impressed, it does remind me of quality old school hash. Not as good as real deal finger hash though.
