I tried 410 along with the rest of your technique, it worked nicely. Not sure I love the screen method, but it did work. I may try hemp fiber like you mention, I felt like I was tasting the screen.

Yeah degummed hemp fiber or rayon/vape cotton would be my choice, with hemp fiber at the top of my list now I’ve gotten to use it for a few weeks. I find it easier to load in the stem with the stiffer fibers, and kinda twist my finger over the stem opening to twirl the last fibers sticking out in to place and then it’s ready to rock.

Did you receive this yet? Curious to hear about it, I almost picked one up. Hate international shipping though, so figured better to find out first.
I’m super curious how you clear the ABV if you run it wet. The only thing that’s come to mind since I saw the guy on Discord post videos using it is that you’d need to keep water level to a minimum so you could tilt it to blow the spent material out without sending water along with it.
Edit: also, theres a new BAKx drop at 9pm Swiss time on August 16th but shipping is expected to be delayed until October due to new packaging laws in the EU

Yeah and been absolutely loving it tbh. Hits great dry or wet, but been using water bc the chug feels just right imo. The way it fits in w the unit looks really nice imo.
For emptying spent stems, ive just been using my dab tool and the avb tends to just slide right out if its fully extracted 
I did accidentall forget about the water once and empty it by blowing and blew a couple drops of water out w avb, but not as much as id have expected from doing so fr lol.
Id mentioned potentially tilting it upside down at an angle then blowing but hadnt tried it bc using a little tool been easy enough

The cable drop was pretty crazy. I got the one I wanted (long white to pair with Acrylic 18) and am happy to have a backup device and cable now.
But yeah the cables took about 5 seconds to sell except for a medium white cable that lasted about 2 minutes.

Hi everyone,
I was lucky enough to grab a BAKx from LAMART yesterday, and I also ordered the Steam Crave Hadron Pro DNA250C box mod they currently have for sale.
Unfortunately, I placed the two orders separately, so I ended up paying the 23 CHF shipping fee twice.
After placing the order, I realized that I had forgotten to select the option to have the LAMART profile preloaded onto the DNA250C. That option costs an additional 15 CHF.
I contacted LAMART through the contact form on their website and explained the situation. I asked if they could combine my two orders and ship the BAKx and Hadron Pro together. Since I already paid 23 CHF shipping on each order, combining them should theoretically save one of those shipping fees. I asked whether they could simply use part of that extra 23 CHF to cover the 15 CHF fee for installing the LAMART profile on the mod.
That brings me to my first question: How is LAMART when it comes to customer service and special requests like this?
Has anyone here dealt with them directly before? Were they responsive and accommodating? I’m mainly wondering what I should expect.
I’ve come across a few comments on Reddit suggesting that LAMART isn’t particularly focused on customer service and tends to do things their own way rather than accommodating individual requests. I obviously have no personal experience with them yet, so I’d rather hear from people who have actually dealt with them instead of judging based on a few Reddit comments.
My second question is about installing the LAMART profile myself.
I’d honestly prefer to avoid the hassle and just have them load it before shipping, especially since they’re already selling the mod specifically for use with the BAKx. But if that doesn’t happen, how difficult is it to do yourself?
Has anyone here installed the LAMART profile on a DNA mod? If so, was the process fairly straightforward?
As of today, I haven’t been able to find a YouTube video that walks through the whole process step by step. I did find the instructions on LAMART’s website, but they seem a little scattered and not particularly well organized. I’m sure I could eventually figure it out with some trial and error, but I’d rather know what I’m getting into beforehand.
So basically, I’d love to hear about both your experience with LAMART’s customer service and your experience setting up a DNA mod for the BAKx yourself.

Congrats on your new BAKx! If you are in the US you should expect delivery in 4-6 weeks (US shipping is always slow post-drops).
If you have Discord, I’d suggest reaching out to him on there for the fastest response time. Setting expectations, it’s in the Lamart T&C that service is slow, but since nothing will ship for a few weeks you have time to sort it.
My only customer service interactions were for questions to confirm orders processed correctly.
During the drop, you can use code ADDTOORDER on follow up orders to remove the shipping fee with unlimited orders allowed to make it easy to lock in items you add to your cart before someone else takes them.
Since you placed the Hadron order separately from what you said, he may be able to send an updated invoice but he also may just find it easier to cancel and refund the Hadron one so you can re-place the order correctly (refunds take a week or so to process back to your card or bank account from what I saw on Discord).
On your question about the firmware, it took me about 10 minutes start to finish which included downloading and installing the escribe software. The instructions on the Lamart site were enough for me but there’s also people who are available/willing to help on the Lamart Discord. It really wasn’t too complicated since you just need to import the Lamart firmware and not do anything too crazy with custom settings and themes (unless you want to). If you aren’t too technically savvy it may be worth it to have Lamart preload it, but if you are imo CHF15 is kinda expensive for a few minutes of work.

Uploading the material file and setting up the profile only takes about 10 min if you’ve never done it before as someone else said. You just need the international version of Escribe (The dna program), and to download the bakmaterial TFR material file from lamart and upload it to your mod thru escribe. Then you just set that material as the Temp control material for the selected profile your using, set it anywhere from 70-120W for power, and throw that session time up to like 420s (you can always cut it off any time during the firing, i just do this so i dont have to keep refiring at any point). Once thats all set up you just need to lock your cold resistance once you actually get the bakx on the mod . all this is explained in greater detail over on their discord as well, which is full of even more helpful people

It’s all good now! I managed to talk to LAMART on Discord, and everything is sorted out. They’re going to install the profile on the box mod and ship everything together, so I’m very happy with how it turned out.
Now all that’s left is the waiting… Apparently, shipping can take up to six weeks, so it’s going to feel like a long wait!

Hey everyone,
I’m currently waiting for my BAKx, which I ordered earlier this week. In the meantime, I’ve started looking at accessories that could improve the experience, and one thing I’m interested in is a 510 extension cable between the mod box and the BAKx.
I know Lamart sells its own extension cable, but it’s fairly expensive. I’ve found a few third-party alternatives for around $20–30, so I’m thinking about ordering one of those instead.
However, I’ve noticed that there are magnetic and non-magnetic versions available. From what I understand, adding a magnetic connection could potentially introduce additional resistance, which might affect the BAKx’s performance or the accuracy of the resistance/temperature control. If that’s the case, I assume a regular non-magnetic cable would be the safer choice.
Has anyone here actually used a third-party magnetic 510 extension cable with the BAKx?
If so, I’d really appreciate hearing about your experience. Did you notice any difference in performance, resistance readings, stability, or temperature control compared with having the BAKx connected directly to the mod?
If the magnetic connection doesn’t make any noticeable difference in real-world use, I’d actually prefer the magnetic version because it seems much more convenient to connect and disconnect.

I had this Divine Tribe/ Crossing Tech non magnetic cable and I can’t recommend it for bakX use.
I had abnormal resistance readings when the cable moved.
I cut it open to see how the cable was connected to the 510 and it didn’t look good. That’s when I knew I had to get a more expensive one.
I believe other people have had more success with it, so I may have had a faulty one.
