Tangential post, but this seems like the best place: Has anyone used the BAKm? I’m curious if it hits like the x. If so imma seriously consider it. I’d love to try the BAKx experience but I don’t want it so badly that I’m willing to bid on it at this point in my vape journey
I’m new to the BAKx and still fumbling more than scoring, but I’d also like to try the BAKm. I’m also a terpcicle enthusiast, I believe that product would also give you a similar experience at an approachable price.
I would like to know if anyone has tried the BAKm with the Camouflet inductor? Probably need a seperate thread for the BAKm, seems to be a lot of interest around that one right now.
I’ve seen a lot of terpsicle references but never really checked it out. I’ll have to do that. I also have an elev8r arriving today and just ordered some 3mm corundum balls so that will probably keep me entertained for a little while

I would like to know as well! People on discord said it has a slight learning curve but performs really well. I think they said it’s a bit different from BAKx but really good if you dial it in.
I haven’t been using my Tempest 2 much lately so it would be nice to have something else to use the Inductor on (other than the P3 S14 which should be here soon 
).

@Southish I saw you mentioning in the Flaske thread that you always have to adjust your BAKx
I hardly ever adjust mine - maybe small adjustments a few times a year when it’s cold - it’s just working so well - but should mention that I only use it at home
Yeah I was curious about this as well. I’ve kinda left mine around 410F to 415F and haven’t had any issues whether indoors in a 72F ambient environment or outside with high humidity, 90s for temps, and relatively strong consistent wind (10-15mph). The only difference is I see a lot more vapor exhaling indoor vs outdoor in those aforementioned environments.
Still working on optimal stem placement though. Harder with mine not having the cut slots on the side panels.

I often put the stem all the way in so it closes the airflow and then just back of a bit to get air

Curious about the stainless steel bowl, I haven’t tried it yet and don’t necessarily want to add another variable while I’m still getting the glass bowls dialed in. I am curious though, I would think it would change things quite a bit. Anyone have experience with this bowl?
How am I only learning about BakX now? I’m on r/vaporents with some regularity, and newish here, but was on FC. I guess I’m not online enough.
I just acquired a Tempest 2 last month and am still in the honeymoon phase with it, but this is giving me VAS. It’s been 6 years between vapes prior to this. 
I shouldn’t start reading more about BakX if I want to maintain my low-ish tolerance. Right?

Well you can use as little or much as you can pack in the stem but this is like my super special treat device I save for nights and weekends and I have yet to not fully pack the stem (some more densely than others).
It is a fantastic device and beautiful as well, but yeah if you use it daily expect the tolerance to be wrecked
They are kinda hard to get since the drops only happen around once every 3 months. I bought mine from the auction because he usually has 2 or 3 auction devices before the full drop. I overpaid by like $200 but got a nice wood one and had the comfort of knowing I secured one. The last two drops have taken over a day to sell out, with 80% of devices going in seconds and then the rest being picked up as they clear from others’ carts.
For my setup and the $200 convenience cost of the auction I was in about $950. Don’t regret it one bit!
Oh and the autospinner ubanger (chef’s kiss) is awesome for concentrates. I friggin love the BRRRRRRRRRR sound of the terp pill spinning.

Got some nice chatoyance going after freshly waxing my unit 
Used the austospinner ubanger last night with some blackberry kush and it wrecked me. I wasted a ton of oil though because I put the banger stem in too deep so the bottom wasn’t hitting the sweet spot in the oven to really cook it. I adjusted the stem so next time it should rock better. The flavor though omg.
What temps do y’all use for bangers and rosin? I had it set to 475F and let the unit heat up til it settled at 9w draw then added the banger stem to heat soak for 90 seconds before putting it on my HMK piece and drawing. It just didn’t seem to be hot enough or stay hot to really vaporize most the oil.

I picked up some pressed hash to try out in my BAKx, I have a large flexible volcano screen that I plan to use to roll the hash into. Any suggestions to help make my attempt successful? Recommended temps? Is my approach with the screen correct? Also, my mod is currently set at 60w with a temp of 400. It seems to be working well for nugs, but haven’t experimented much at this point. I would love to hear any thoughts on these settings from seasoned BAKx users.
I think I last was using 415F for hash and let the BAKx preheat til the wattage levels out before adding the stem with hemp fiber and bubble/moroccan/temple ball hash. I let that heat soak for 45 seconds or so until wattage gets to around 13w and then I start taking draws.
I’ll start pulling the stem off during draws once I get to 7 or 8 to keep it from starting to taste bad even faster.
I do hash at the same temp as when I have flower in there but honestly I feel like i could go lower and stretch the great flavor out even further.
Try to position the has so it sits in the sweet spot of the oven.
I’m still playing with it dialing everything in but the 405-415F temp range for flower and hash has seemed to be a sweet spot so far.
