Just saying you don’t have to be too conservative with your draws.

So i did get a little hot spotting over the few bowls I’ve tested variable draw intensity. It wasn’t as bad but still present.
On a different topic, when it comes to the firing button how hard should you have to push? I feel like I’m pushing hard enough for some draws but end up with nothing and find out somehow it registered 5 clicks and put me into the menu.
Is there any durability concern for the button having to push so hard? What about for the 3d printed plastic over the physical button on the chip?
If it weren’t for the firing button I would say I love this device even if it isn’t able to clear a bowl like a Frolic. It’s close enough and the signature hits really nice.
I’m feeling more or less the same although I’m still trying techniques for holding it to have it fire consistently. I’ve gotten better but not there yet. I’m hoping that some wear on the button will make it travel more and be more clicky? Lately I’ve been trying to place my finger on the raised line (bump) on the button.

Alright, my man, I tried this to varying success. I inhale with my own personal lung powered s-curve and the hot spotting was less than 50% what it was before. It’s always only surface level, too, which an important distinction.
That said, I went outside and had my best ground stuff and friggin loved it and after 6 big draws I had a golden brown bowl which was just right and fully even.
The thing is, outside is 25 degrees hotter than inside. So it makes me think I still need to dial in more. For this session I said F it and mashed the button with strong force in the center just below the line and had a solid first hit as well as all but one after where I pushed too soft and ended up in the menus again.
I feel really good right now from it and since it hasn’t been mentioned before the bowl volume seems to be about the same as the Frolic, so no wonder why I feel good with a full pack and slight tamp!
I do really enjoy this device and the pocketability cannot be overstated. I’ve forgotten it’s there multiple times. It’s got some heft which feels good like a well built device, but in the pocket it’s no more than a cell phone’s weight which is easy to acclimate to.
I’ll try to start taking some more pics but work has been exhausting and I dont have a lot of mental capacity left by the end of it lately, so apologies if that doesn’t happen or takes a bit.

Is 0.2824 ohm the cold resistance? Is there a way to find out the live resistance at 437F on the screen? It should be 0.403 if my math is right.
Yes you can see it but not to that degree (I think it was only 2 decimal places on the live view screen). Your guess sounds close though I am taking a break tonight so I can’t confirm. I know I’ve seen .39 and .4 before.
So I’m getting better at using this vape and I’m enjoying it more and more as I get to know it. Right now my method is:
- I use the bottom of an AVLP capsule as a liner for the bowl. Fits perectly, keeps the unit clean and provides a nice bit of conduction. I use a little poker tool to spin the capsule in the bowl if I want to adjust for any hotspotting but usually I don’t have to.
- I remove the bowl from the unit to load the bowl and tamp firmly
- Fire it up at 225C(437F)
- Hit it like the TB2 - Long slow pull or small pipe puffs to start but once you feel the vapor coming you can pull hard.
I’m finding it an extremely good tasting vape. Up there with the best battery portables. Really good battery life too, minimum 8 bowls plus.
I just cleaned it for the first time and it was as easy as I’d hoped. I could completely clean all the parts with an alcohol wipe or two. No hard to clean places or parts.
Edit: I should mention I haven’t changed any TCR setting since receiving it. Only bumped the power to 60W.

At that live res the real temp of the coil should be 905 F - 485 C.
I’m not getting great battery life but I’m still tinkering.
S&B capsules work, but not rightside up with the screen in. It’s better to remove the screen and place the capsule lid side down for two reasons
Rightside up with bowl screen in place has the shiny lid too close to the heating element. Radiant heat bounce makes the unit too hot, and a lot of air goes AROUND the capsule.
Upside down without the screen gives more distance to heater and capsule lid plugs the bottom of the bowl so the hot air goes THROUGH the capsule.
It’ll be fun remembering to remove the plastic locking piece for the metal part of the stem, lol. I just cleaned for the second time and almost broke it trying to get the metal piece out having totally forgotten the little locking piece was a thing. Other than that, yeah it was super easy and a quick soak put me back in business. The o ring is holding up well still and keeps the bottom really snug.

I have a V1 that I just picked up on the exchange, I wanted to try out before buying a V2. I combust like 50% of the time. Just changed my settings to what you listed, using an upside down S&B cap I’m getting much better results. Good suggestion!

Checking in at the two week mark with this vape and my overwhelming feeling about this vape is similar to @McScruffy’s earlier in the thread - damn this thing tastes really good!
If you dial it in right, it’ll coat your mouth flavor. I’m still fiddling a bit with temps and draw techniques to get the best roast but I don’t mind tweaking until I get it right. For science, of course. I love the tiny size and the stealth factor of this vape and it could become the de-facto carry for discreteness outside the house.
The fire button is still my only pain. At least once a session I think I have it pressed but it didn’t engage. Sometimes I know it’s engaged initially but then the heater will stop during a draw and I won’t know if it’s because I didn’t apply enough pressure at some point during my draw.
I will sometimes pause my draw while firing and now I’m wondering if that might sometimes cause the heater to throw an error or stop firing? I have never seen an error pop up on the screen. Maybe @Entheos.Hex can shed some light…

Any reason that the price changes from $210 (USD) to £210 (GBP) when attempting to order to a UK address? The correct conversion would be around £155.
There’s obviously quite a difference between the two prices (over £50). On top of the fairly high shipping cost of £35 this is a bit of a deal breaker.

Maybe the £ price adds the uk taxes while the $ price is shown without taxes, which will be payed by the customer when the device arrives to the country (?)
UK VAT is 20%, around £30 on a £155 purchase.
International sellers wouldn’t normally collect it if the goods are worth more than £135. Customs will send a bill when the package enters the country and won’t release your item without you paying.
Any UK buyers have to pay customs charges?
Mine showed up and i should start testing it this week

It was mistyped in the site supposed to be 210£, not 210USD. Already fixed
We have units that can be sent from within UK as my business partner regularly travels there, although there might be some waiting time as he just left the UK.

As of now the button issue seems to come from printing inconsistencies, probably some parts were printed in a different orientation causing the problem. Some units have a very good click to them.
We will be sending out updated button shells to the affected users as we just got our own SLS 3D printer arriving soon. Updated o-rings for those with loose bottom ends are on their way as well.
There also seems to be some internal hardware incosistency causing varying degrees of hotspotting from minor to bad ones. We are getting it straightened out with our part manufacturers and will sort it out with everyone affected as well.

Hmm, OK thanks for the help. These things happen, but you can imagine my surprise when the price increased by £90 including postage when I went to checkout!
In light of the actual price, I’ll wait until any teething problems are resolved and revisit. How would getting a unit from inside the UK work? Obviously that is preferable because of the postage costs/customs fees etc.
